Abba, Father, Lord God, thank you for yesterday, for guiding me as I searched my soul to the root of who I am; as a child of God, You the Source of Source, a believer in and a disciple of Jesus Christ who together with You live in me through the Holy Spirit to help me grow in You and You in me, and a son of Anna and Joseph, brother to Ralph, Elisa Aurora and Rosemarie, husband to Ana and father to Kelly Alia and Richard Thomas. For I could not look at myself without You, but in You through Jesus I can and I can feel, and in feeling love. There is so much I do not know and may never understand, but I feel this, that just as with You in Jesus through the Spirit there needs to be less of me and You and Jesus, and so it is with Mom, Dad, Ralph, Aurora, Rosie, Annie, Kelly, Ricki and all those You bless me with; I need to feel love before I can be love and feeling love means dying to myself. O Lord grant me a discerning heart, guide me through this that I seek for You know my heart and what is best. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
