Souls eager to arrive at union with God must accept, without excusing themselves, every correction or rebuke, even if not wholly deserved, and even if wholly unjust. It takes great humility to find oneself unjustly condemned and be silent, and to do this is to imitate the Lord, who set us free from all our sins.

Abba, Father, Lord God, once again I praise You and feel You presence in today�s readings; for once again I feel that through Your Word You are guiding me and laying before me that truth with I seek to create in me the image of Jesus and that which will liken my hearts to His. Lord, You know my heart, You know my every weakness and gift, show me how and give me only what I need to put these truths to work in me, completing that which You, dare I say we, began in August 2002. Raise me out from myself above my flesh and all that I have learned under the sun and place my feet on the solid ground of Your Words so that I may be filled and ready to be used by You to help the poor in spirit and be a light to the needy. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
