Always

As my Father has sent me, so I send you.

Go therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Go into the world, and proclaim this good news to all people. Those that believe and are baptized will discover salvation; but those that believe not will be lost.

Attend the promise of the Father, which you have heard from me. John, called the Baptizer, cleansed his followers by immersing them in water, but you will be made new by the very breath of God.

You will receive new power when the breath of God has come among you; and you will be my witnesses, beginning here in Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria , to the uttermost parts of the earth.

Breathe deep the breath of God. Teach, even as I have taught you. And remember that I am with you always, even to the end of the world.

Receive the Holy Spirit!

Lord God, Abba Father, thankful and humble, I ask for discernment as well as wisdom and judgment in what I do. Help me liken my heart to Jesus’, tune my ear to Your truths, and help me to see Your hand in all things under the sun. I know I will or can never be deserving or ready, but I do not need to, for You know best how and when and where to use me, mine is to be open and always seeking to serve. And for this I need only stand at the foot of the Cross. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

1  Behold my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen, in whom my soul delights; I have put my Spirit upon him, he will bring forth justice to the nations.  2  He will not cry or lift up his voice, or make it heard in the street;  3  a bruised reed he will not break, and a dimly burning wick he will not quench; he will faithfully bring forth justice.  4  He will not fail or be discouraged till he has established justice in the earth; and the coastlands wait for his law.  6  "I am the LORD, I have called you in righteousness, I have taken you by the hand and kept you; I have given you as a covenant to the people, a light to the nations,  7  to open the eyes that are blind, to bring out the prisoners from the dungeon, from the prison those who sit in darkness.

7  And he preached, saying, "After me comes he who is mightier than I, the thong of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and untie.  8  I have baptized you with water; but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit."  9  In those days Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan.  10  And when he came up out of the water, immediately he saw the heavens opened and the Spirit descending upon him like a dove;  11  and a voice came from heaven, "Thou art my beloved Son; with thee I am well pleased."
