“… you are defiled by what comes from your heart.”

My OneWalk with Jesus

A thought…
We must surround ourselves with God’s words. Seek His face in everything. And pray without ceasing.

A prayer…
Dear Lord God, Abba Father, I fix my eyes on You and open my ears and heart to Your inspired words all day, everyday. I seek Your face in everything. I pray my face reflects Your presence in me. All my hope is in You. For I know You are the truth and the way for all I need and could want. But I know I must exercise our faith to experience You in everyway and everything. I must be willing to challenge my body and mind if I am to grow in faith. And I must love unconditionally. Help me and mine to walk this road together. Use me to touch them and others You place in my path. Always counting every blessing along the way. In Jesus name I pray. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

A verse…

It’s not what goes into your body that defiles you; you are defiled by what comes from your heart."
Mark 7:15-16 NLT

A devotion…
True human objectivity involves humanity, and humanity involves God. True human reason involves morality, which lives on God’s commandments. This morality is not a private matter; it has public significance. Without the good of being good and of good action, there can be no good politics. What the persecuted Church prescribed for Christians as the core of their political ethos must also be the core of an active Christian politics: only where good is done and is recognized as good can people live together well in a thriving community. Demonstrating the practical importance of the moral dimension, the dimension of God’s commandments—publicly as well—must be the center of responsible political action.
