One Walk

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 5/25/2011

I walk holding Your hand, in conscious awareness of my dependence on You, and the fact that all I have, and all I am, is because of You; so with each step I fight off the old ways under the sun, and embrace my one walk under, in and through the Son. I know You won’t let go, PLEASE don’t let me, no matter what the moment brings. Remembering the words of St. Louis de Montfort today – ‘He who fights even the smallest distractions faithfully when he says even the very smallest prayer, will also be faithful in great things.’

Abba Father in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I pray that You create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus today. Asking that You bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; and if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
