My Daily Prayers and Readings for 12/04/2013

She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.

Lord, when the days are long and I don’t see change happening, remind me to stay faithful to You and to following Jesus’ model of leadership. Give me words of wisdom to speak; keep me from speaking out of frustration. Weed out anything in my life that contradicts Your message of humility, confidence, and serving in Jesus’ name.1 Keep my heart pure, and my spirit steadfast for my one walk with You. As a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying through the Spirit on all occasions for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. Being alert to always praying for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 11/07/2013

“For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”

Jesus, You are the Lord of all life, and You saw all of life as an opportunity to serve others, meeting them at their point of need in order to restore them to relationship with the Father. Give me eyes to see the opportunities I have to serve others today, always keeping in mind God’s greater purpose in their lives.1 Liken my heart to Yours, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. For my one walk in and with You today, as a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying through the Spirit and in the name of Jesus on all occasions for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. Being alert to always praying for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

When [the disabled beggar] saw Peter and John about to enter, he asked them for money. Peter looked straight at him, as did John. Then Peter said, “Look at us!” So the man gave them his attention, expecting to get something from them. Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.”

Abba Father show me how to meet the needs of those around me in ways that will point them to You.1 Filled with gratitude for all of Your blessings. And with a pure heart, and a steadfast spirit. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Strong in You and Your almighty power.(r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will, and for those You place in my path. Lord God what do You want and need to do in me so that I can lead like Jesus? What hinders me from being who You want me to be? As you place me in new situations today, open my eyes to the people and opportunities You are placing in front of me. Put me where You need me.1 With a pure heart, and a steadfast spirit. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. A channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Despite their fear of the peoples around them, they built the altar on its foundation and sacrificed burnt offerings on it to the LORD, both the morning and evening sacrifices.

Lord God, turn my attention from what others think of me, and let me have eyes of faith only for what You think of my life and work. Replace fear of people with a reverent awe of You that drowns out all else. Keep me focused on what You’ve called me to do.1 With a pure heart, and a steadfast spirit. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) For my one walk in and with You today, as an example of Your presence and a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Remembering that if I get nothing else done, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. Praying without ceasing for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and for those You place in my path.In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Thank You for creating me anew to live and move in the realm of God’s spirit, and to be part of the new work You are doing in the world. May I serve Your purposes today. Create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. For my one walk in and with You today, as a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying in the now of every moment through the Spirit for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and for those You place in my path.
