Today’s Bible Verse, Reading, Devotion, Worship Song and Prayer

Today’s verse

For we walk by faith, not by sight.

2 Corinthians 5:7 (KJV)

Today’s reading
John 18

Jesus’ Trial before Pilate

John 18:36-37 NLT
[36] Jesus answered, "My Kingdom is not an earthly kingdom. If it were, my followers would fight to keep me from being handed over to the Jewish leaders. But my Kingdom is not of this world."
[37] Pilate said, "So you are a king?" Jesus responded, "You say I am a king. Actually, I was born and came into the world to testify to the truth. All who love the truth recognize that what I say is true."

Today’s devotion
Jesus Calling

WALK BY FAITH, NOT BY SIGHT. As you take steps of faith, depending on Me, I will show you how much I can do for you. If you live your life too safely, you will never know the thrill of seeing Me work through you. When I gave you My Spirit, I empowered you to live beyond your natural ability and strength. That’s why it is so wrong to measure your energy level against the challenges ahead of you. The issue is not your strength but Mine, which is limitless. By walking close to Me, you can accomplish My purposes in My strength.

Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.
—Galatians 5:25

But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble. O my Strength, I sing praise to you; you, O God, are my fortress, my loving God.
—Psalm 59:16–17

Walk By Faith
Jeremy Camp

Today’s prayer
Dear Lord God, Abba Father, I walk step by step, moment by moment with eyes of faith with Spirit. Fighting to stay focused on You in the now of the moment, dying to myself and letting tomorrow worry about itself. Grateful for all Your blessings and counting them one by one. You are my fortress, my refuge, my strength. Your Words are the words of life that sustain me. The truth that guides me. O that You would continue to bless me and mine, enlarge our territory for Your will, lay Your hand upon us, keeping us from evil and causing pain. Amen
