2 Peter 1:4-7 NLT
[4] And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires. [5] In view of all this, make every effort to respond to God’s promises. Supplement your faith with a generous provision of moral excellence, and moral excellence with knowledge, [6] and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with patient endurance, and patient endurance with godliness, [7] and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love for everyone.

Is there someplace where you are not at home with God? Then allow God to work through whatever that particular circumstance may be until you increase in Him, adding His qualities. Your life will then become the simple life of a child.

The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. John 1:14a

Throughout the gospels, Jesus connects with people. He touches lepers, dines with outcasts, prays for the unclean, enters Samaritan villages, and cries with the grieving. Jesus, the prophesied Immanuel, made it a leadership habit to come near, enter in, and be present. We continue the ministry of Jesus when we cry with others, listen to their stories, and are simply present. We can carry the presence of Jesus wherever we go.

Today’s prayer
Dear God, Abba Father, Jesus my Lord and Savior. My hope, my truth, my source. My teacher. Teach me, guide me and show me how to better serve You and those You place in my path. You know me, while my days are long and filled with busyness, I know You can help me use each moment and not put off any chance to serve and be a witness of Your power and glory. Help me Jesus! There are so many hurt, lost and searching. Amen
