A thought…
The Confidence that comes from knowing Jesus isn’t like the confidence we get on our own. Self-confidence is limited, easily shakened and can be lost. Self-confidence is rooted in pride. Like the things of this world self-confidence is fleeting. Jesus inspired Confidence is yoked to Him and has no limits, can’t be shakened and can’t be lost. Jesus inspired Confidence is rooted in truth, Jesus is that truth and His truth will not fade away. Confidence is a state of mind in all things, a state of peace at all times. Only through knowing Jesus can we find that kind of confidence.
A prayer…
Dear Lord God, Abba Father, Jesus my Savior. We need you now. Help us overcome our insecurities. Help us control our defensiveness. Lead us to the foot of the Cross and help us to die to ourselves as we humbly take up Your yoke. This I ask and pray in Your Holy name. Amen
