Hold on I’m coming… For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.

I start my One Walk with Jesus this weekend with…

A thought…

God is a gentleman and will not force heaven on anyone who says, ‘No thank you’. Implied in the encouraging words ‘seek and you shall find’ is a dire warning: If you do not seek, you will not find. Earth is automatic, but heaven is freely chosen and therefore can be freely refused.
from Heaven, the Heart’s Deepest Longing
via Catholic Wisdom

Think about it for a few minutes. ‘Earth is automatic’, we become so busy and overwhelmed that we can end up going through life putting off God or making Him a distant second to everything else. I feel that just like believing is a choice. Following is a choice. And the difference between believing and following is as big as between believing or not believing. In the end you just can’t believe without following Jesus. And when you do, You can’t get enough of Him. And all you want is to ‘hold on’ to Him. To walk as one. I know I do.

I’m thankful for…

Today the day the Lord has made, God’s Word and this time with Him. All God’s blessings and grace. My family and the time I get to spend with my kids and grandkids today. My health that allows me to do what I do. True Image Landscaping that allows me and my son to grow in the Lord together; through up and downs, good times and not so good times.

A prayer…

Dear Lord God, Abba Father, thank You. For awakening me to my need to put and keep first in my walk under the sun. For always putting the right Words, sermon or song before me when I need it. For giving me just enough understanding and wisdom, and plenty of faith, hope and love. Bless this time together with my kids and grandkids, and may Your presence be felt by each one of us. In Jesus name I pray. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

The Words written in red…

In The Words Jesus of Nazareth, Lee Cantelon compiled Jesus’ words thematically, in clear and modern English, for non-Christians, spiritual seekers, agnostics and believers. Just like I believe everyone should read the Bible, or start with the New Testament from beginning to end, or at least start with the four Gospels starting with John Luke Matthew and Mark. Or the Words written in red, those spoken by Jesus.

More… devotions, sermons and programs that impacted and made me think and pray for God’s wisdom and guidance
