A thought… froms Jesus Calling

Thankfulness awakens you to My Presence, which overshadows all your problems.
page 181

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
Philippians 4:4-6

A prayer…

Dear God, my Abba Father, Lord Jesus my Savior, thank You for this day. Help me rejoice and stay glad in it. Heavenly Father, help me listen with compassion before I speak or write. Help me relinquish my desire to win an argument. May I be sensitive to Your Spirit’s leading, so I’ll know when to speak… and when to remain silent. In Jesus name I pray. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
