Gospel Mark 6:30-34
The Apostles gathered together with Jesus
and reported all they had done and taught.
He said to them,
“Come away by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while.”
People were coming and going in great numbers,
and they had no opportunity even to eat.
So they went off in the boat by themselves to a deserted place.
People saw them leaving and many came to know about it.
They hastened there on foot from all the towns
and arrived at the place before them.
When Jesus disembarked and saw the vast crowd,
his heart was moved with pity for them,
for they were like sheep without a shepherd;
and he began to teach them many things.

God Is Both Guide and Protector
Today, Jesus is presented to us as the good shepherd who guides and protects his flock. He will do the fighting, and he will be the lamp to our feet—we must simply stay near him and allow ourselves to be led.

Dear God, my Abba Father, Lord Jesus my Savior, Holy Spirit within me. Thank You for walking with me and mine, and theirs. For being our Shepherd, to guide through this world of chaos and show us Your way through it all.
That is my prayer today. That You will continue to guide and bless us through whatever may come. Showing us Your way and what to do and say. With the courage to stand with You.
Jesus, Mary, I love You, save souls.

Apostles (Nicene) Creed
I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.
I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father; through him all things were made.
