Reading I Acts 4:13-21
Observing the boldness of Peter and John
and perceiving them to be uneducated, ordinary men,
the leaders, elders, and scribes were amazed,
and they recognized them as the companions of Jesus.
Then when they saw the man who had been cured standing there with them,
they could say nothing in reply.
So they ordered them to leave the Sanhedrin,
and conferred with one another, saying,
“What are we to do with these men?
Everyone living in Jerusalem knows that a remarkable sign
was done through them, and we cannot deny it.
But so that it may not be spread any further among the people,
let us give them a stern warning
never again to speak to anyone in this name.”
So they called them back
and ordered them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus.
Peter and John, however, said to them in reply,
“Whether it is right in the sight of God
for us to obey you rather than God, you be the judges.
It is impossible for us not to speak about what we have seen and heard.”
After threatening them further,
they released them,
finding no way to punish them,
on account of the people who were all praising God
for what had happened.
Gospel Mark 16:9-15
When Jesus had risen, early on the first day of the week,
he appeared first to Mary Magdalene,
out of whom he had driven seven demons.
She went and told his companions who were mourning and weeping.
When they heard that he was alive
and had been seen by her, they did not believe.
After this he appeared in another form
to two of them walking along on their way to the country.
They returned and told the others;
but they did not believe them either.
But later, as the Eleven were at table, he appeared to them
and rebuked them for their unbelief and hardness of heart
because they had not believed those
who saw him after he had been raised.
He said to them, “Go into the whole world
and proclaim the Gospel to every creature.”

Be Bold
Even after performing miraculous deeds, Peter and John are commanded by the temple authorities to stop preaching about Christ Jesus. Yet Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, announces that they will always proclaim the Good News, despite the consequences. This is the same conviction that the culture needs to see from us today. Like Peter and John, let us strive to boldly proclaim the Gospel, even when the devil tries to intimidate us!

In the image of the Divine Mercy we see Jesus’s left foot stepping forward as He is coming out of the darkness to come for us. It is also symbolic of Christ’s return at the end of time, when He will come for His bride. Unlike the "deities" of many of the world’s religions, our God is not a transcendent, unapproachable God; He humbled Himself so much that He condescended to become one of us and to be united to us.

My prayer…
Dear God, my Abba Father, Lord Jesus my Savior, Holy Spirit within me. Thank You for reminding me the mindset I must have and maintain. Knowing and believing “Perhaps this is the moment for which I have been created.” (Esther 4:14). So I must ‘Be Bold’, knowing that Jesus is with me. Protecting and blessing me and mine, for theirs and for those You put in our path.
As in today’s Gospel, let others judge me as they wish for I have been a sinner. I all know is what I believe based on what Jesus has shown and taught me. That is He is my Lord and Savior, the King of Kings and Lord or Lords. And like Him, there has never been anyone who walked this earth.
True God, one with the Father.
Despite what others may claim, despite my doubts and limited understanding and knowledge. Nothing else is truer to me than this fact.
So I pray without ceasing that each of mine and each of theirs will know this too. And ‘Be Bold’ in standing up for Jesus.
Not my will, but Yours Lord God.
Jesus, Mary, I love You, save souls.
In Jesus name I pray.
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Apostles (Nicene) Creed
I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.
