Reading I 2 Corinthians 9:6-10
Brothers and sisters:
Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly,
and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.
Each must do as already determined, without sadness or compulsion,
for God loves a cheerful giver.
Moreover, God is able to make every grace abundant for you,
so that in all things, always having all you need,
you may have an abundance for every good work.

Today we celebrate the feast of St. Lawrence, a martyr and deacon. Known for his almsgiving and generosity, St. Lawrence went out of his way to selflessly serve the less fortunate around him. Emboldened by the witness of St. Lawrence, strive to generously give of yourself today to the less fortunate.

Dear God, my Abba Father, Lord Jesus my Savior, Holy Spirit within me. Thank You for all Your blessings and each of mine, and theirs.
Help us to never lose sight of all Your blessings. Counting each of them and from Your gifts, give to those in need that You put in our path.

Apostles (Nicene) Creed
I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.
I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages.
