Beloved:
This saying is trustworthy and deserves full acceptance:
Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.
Of these I am the foremost.
But for that reason I was mercifully treated,
so that in me, as the foremost,
Christ Jesus might display all his patience as an example
for those who would come to believe in him for everlasting life.
To the king of ages, incorruptible, invisible, the only God,
honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.

Jesus said to his disciples:
“A good tree does not bear rotten fruit,
nor does a rotten tree bear good fruit.
For every tree is known by its own fruit.
For people do not pick figs from thornbushes,
nor do they gather grapes from brambles.
A good person out of the store of goodness in his heart produces good,
but an evil person out of a store of evil produces evil;
for from the fullness of the heart the mouth speaks.
“Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ but not do what I command?
I will show you what someone is like who comes to me,

Formed: Becoming a Sign to Others
Today, we hear Paul confess that he had been the foremost of sinners, and yet even he is a recipient of Christ’s saving love. Paul’s confession helps us see that we, as Christians, ought to share how grateful we are for the mercy we have been shown through the Church. In doing so, we become signs of God’s mercy and evangelists to our non-Catholic brothers and sisters.

My prayer…
Dear God, my Abba Father, Lord Jesus my Savior, Holy Spirit within me.
My reflection on this 9/11 is on what a difference a generation can make, just 20 years.
My first thoughts and prayers are for those that lost there life’s and their spouses, children, families and friends. And the survivors. All had their life’s changed forever. I know and believe that in all things You work for the good of those who love You, who have been called according to Your purpose.
So I think the best way to honor all those lost on and since, and affected by 9/11. Is to reflect on all the changes, good and bad. And ask ourselves, and ask You, are on the right path as individuals, as a country, pursuing good, or have we become victims to the evil one and on a path to destruction. Are we bearing good fruit.
Only You know Lord.
So please hear my prayers, for me and mine, and theirs. Guide us, protect us, bless us, and give us a discerning heart likened to Yours.
Not my will, but Yours Lord God.
Jesus, Mary, I love You, save souls.
In Jesus name I pray.

Apostles (Nicene) Creed
