I am the LORD, there is no other;
I form the light, and create the darkness,
I make well-being and create woe;

Formed: He Humbled Himself
In Isaiah’s writings, God’s grandeur and transcendence is displayed. From this perspective, we see how incredible the Incarnation is: the God of the universe was made flesh in the womb of Mary and born in a humble town. As we approach the celebration of this birth, let us heed John the Baptist’s call to repent, give alms, and pray.

Dear God, my Abba Father, Lord Jesus my Savior, Holy Spirit within me.
You are my ‘light’. You have shown me the errors of my ways, and the wonders and truth of Yours. You light my way, and teach me in Yours.
Thank You for everything for all I have is because of You, and I have all I need.
Though I stumble and fall, I know You are with me. Teaching me what I need to learn and know to show Your presence in my life. This I know.
So I pray without ceasing for me, mine and theirs. That we will learn and grow in You together. That You will protect and bless us. That You would expand our territory for Your glory.
