Brothers and sisters:
Scripture confined all things under the power of sin,
that through faith in Jesus Christ
the promise might be given to those who believe.
Before faith came, we were held in custody under law,
confined for the faith that was to be revealed.
Consequently, the law was our disciplinarian for Christ,
that we might be justified by faith.
But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a disciplinarian.
For through faith you are all children of God in Christ Jesus.
For all of you who were baptized into Christ
have clothed yourselves with Christ.
There is neither Jew nor Greek,
there is neither slave nor free person,
there is not male and female;
for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s descendants,
heirs according to the promise.

Formed: Hearing and Obeying the Word of God
Every Saturday the Church thinks of Our Lady as the “model disciple.” But why is Mary blessed among women? In today’s Gospel, Jesus clarifies that Mary’s holiness is rooted in her ability to hear the word of God and obey it. He calls us to be like Mary, and to follow her on this path to blessing.

My prayer…
Dear God, my Abba Father, Lord Jesus my Savior, Holy Spirit within me.
Here I am Lord… again, like each morning before, listening with hopeful ears, eyes of faith, and a heart seeking to imitate Yours. Help me persevere over myself.
Continue walking with me and mine. Drawing us closer to You each day. Teaching and guiding us towards obedience. Blessing and protecting us along the way.
Not my will, but Yours Lord God.
Jesus, Mary, I love You, save souls.
In Jesus name I pray.
