The Promise of the Spirit

It is the Spirit that has the power to give life.

If you love me, then keep my commandments. And I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another comforter to be with you forever. His is the breath of truth. The world does not accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you will know him, for he will dwell with you, and in you.

I will not leave you comfortless. Now it is necessary for you that I go away; for if I do not leave, the Comforter, the very breath of God, will not come to dwell among you. If I depart, I will send him to you.

When he has come, he will reveal to the world what is sin, and what is righteousness and judgment. Sin, because you do not believe in me; righteousness, because I go to my Father, and you will not see me; judgment, because the oppressive power of the prince of this world has been broken.

I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot understand them just now. However, when the breath of God has come, he will guide you into all truth, for he will not speak of himself; but whatever he hears, that he will speak, showing you those things that are to come.

He will praise me and glorify me, by revealing my glory to you. All of the Father’s glory is mine as well. This is why I am able to make this promise to you: the Spirit will reveal my divine nature to you. If your child asked of you bread, would you offer a stone? If your child asked fish to eat, would you offer a snake? Would you serve a scorpion to the little ones who ask for an egg?

If you then, being of this earth, know how to provide good things for your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the breath of God to those who ask him?

When the Comforter, the Spirit of truth, whom I will send to you from the Father has come, he will testify of me. He will teach you all things, and will remind you of all that I have told you.

Lord God, Abba Father, thankful and humble I ask and pray that the Spirit continue to reveal Your truths to me through Jesus who sent and breathe the living presence of the Spirit into me. May the Your power in the Spirit, the power of truth be seen in me through the fruit of the Spirit which is produced in me because of the Spirit’s presence in me. I know the Spirit is truth because as the wind, though I cannot see it, I feel it. I know the divine nature of my Lord Jesus Christ because I feel the need for Him deep in my heart. I know the oneness of Spirit through Jesus in You because in conscious meditation feel the power of truth, the peace in the moment, as it is revealed to me over in over through understanding in all things past and present, the understanding of Your timing. O that all those souls in need and alone would be able to feel and know what I do, and that in your time and in Your way, You would use me to light the path if only for one soul. This I ask and pray in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

The Kingdom of Heaven

Since the time of John the Baptiser until now, the kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing, and great is the number that eagerly, and in desperation, have seized hold of its truth.

Do not allow your worries to consume tomorrow, for tomorrow will take care of itself. Surely there is enough to concern you each day without fretting about the future. Which of you by mental effort can add one inch to your height?

Consider the birds of the air. They are not consumed with worry. At night they sleep soundly, knowing that their heavenly Father cares for them. Do you not matter more than the birds?

Are not two sparrows sold in the marketplace for a few pennies? Still, one of them cannot fall to the ground without your heavenly Father’s knowledge. Cease being afraid. You are of greater value than many flocks of sparrows. Even the very hairs of your head are numbered.

Why then worry about what you will wear? Consider the lilies growing wild in the fields, blooming without effort. Even King Solomon in all of his glory was not arrayed as beautifully as one of these. If God has so cared for that which grows wild in the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is cast into the fire, will he not care for you much more? How can you have such little faith?

Therefore, stop saying: “What will I eat? What will I drink? Will I ever have enough to clothe myself?” This is how the faithless think, anxious for everything. Be at peace! Your heavenly Father knows that you have need of all of these things, and more.

Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all of your needs will be provided.

Lord God, Abba Father, I pray, thankful and humbly I pray, I pray for all those who do not know or want to know You, that they be awakened to You through Jesus in the Spirit; and that they learn listen to Him and never give up on trying to understand His teachings. I pray for all those less fortunate than I, in pain and suffering, alone and hopeless; that they know Your peace and that peace walk with them even in the valley of death. That they learn to never fear and as St. Francis de Sales tells us today trust in You in Jesus through the Spirit that lives in each of us and learn to stop walking in anxiety and with worry on our minds, yet realize the gifts both physical and spiritual that You have given us and put them to work in Your service. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed,  19  to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord."  20  And he closed the book, and gave it back to the attendant, and sat down; and the eyes of all in the synagogue were fixed on him.  21  And he began to say to them, "Today this scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing."  22  And all spoke well of him, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth; and they said, "Is not this Joseph’s son?"

Food for the Soul

Since childhood you have heard the story of how your ancestors ate manna in the desert, but that was long ago, and now they are ancient memories. In spite of those miracles, Moses was not able to provide the true bread of heaven, that which my Father is offering to you now. For the bread of God is embodied in the one who is speaking to you, who has come down from heaven, and offered his own life for the world.

If you understood this, you would beg me to give you living water as well; for whoever drinks natural water soon thirsts again, but whoever drinks of the water that I give will discover a well that springs up within, overflowing with eternal life.

Are you thirsting spiritually? Come to me and drink; for they that believe in me, as it has been written, "Out of their innermost being will flow rivers of living water."

Lord God, Abba Father, St. Columbanus reminds us of the peace and joy in ‘purity of soul – yet no one can bestow this on himself because it is properly the gift of Your grace.’ Therefore thankful, humble and for the sake of Jesus’ passion I ask and pray that You have mercy on us and on the whole world, and that Your grace rain down on all those not knowing where to look. Let their eyes find the Cross, and their hearts fall at the foot of the Cross where purity of soul awaits all that seek and ask. ‘Nothing is sweeter than the calm of conscience, nothing safer’. Food for the Soul

It is written: "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out from the mouth of God."

I am the bread of life: if you come to me, you will never again hunger spiritually; and if you believe in me, you will never again know spiritual thirst. Rise up! Take hold of the living bread, the spiritual bread that has come down from heaven: if you eat of this bread, you will live forever. The bread that I offer you is my life, which I give for the life of the world. I am the bread of life come down from heaven so that you may feast on spiritual food, and because of this receive spiritual life and not die.

All of your energies are spent in the pursuit of food that perishes; instead, seek spiritual food that will endure forever. This is the food that I long to give you, for God the Father has given me this power.

Lord God, Abba Father, thankful and humble I ask and pray for the spiritual awareness, oneness and strength to be able to be there for others that are not yet awakened or aware of the power within my Lord Jesus Christ and His Words of life. He teaches us that all things are possible in and through Him, He also warns possible does not mean easy. It is in time of dryness, hunger and thirst that we need to reach higher and further, never letting our physical presence fed by pride and selfishness to disconnect us from You our source of source or interrupt our quest and need to be one with Him in the Spirit and You. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

The Kingdom of Heaven

Since the time of John the Baptiser until now, the kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing, and great is the number that eagerly, and in desperation, have seized hold of its truth.

Have you ever heard this reading from the scriptures: “The stone which the builders have rejected has become the honored cornerstone; this is the Lord’s doing, and marvelous in our eyes”? Behold, the kingdom of God will be taken from you who listen and do nothing, and will be given to a people working to bring forth fruit in their lives.

Beware of how you treat this message, for all of the sins of humankind will be forgiven, along with all of their blasphemies. But there is no reconciliation for those who, seeing evil as good and good as evil, blaspheme the Holy Spirit. This transgression is eternal. Heed these words. All about you, evil men and prostitutes are entering the kingdom of heaven ahead of you. These have heard the call to life and have turned to God, while the pious and religious have heard the call and have deliberately turned away.

Prayer is not achieved by repetition. It is not by reiterating “Lord, Lord,” that you will enter the kingdom of heaven, but by doing the will of my Father who is in heaven.

Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all of your needs will be provided.

Lord God, Abba Father, thankful and humble I pray that You hear my cry; reveal Thy will! I stand ready at the foot of the Cross to server You according to Your will. Aware that even in my darkest times, there are those in greater darkness, in my loneliest moments there are those more alone; for I know I wake with You each day and that these times and moments are passing as is everything under the sun, but my relationship with You is eternal, everlasting, always growing, so this is my prayer that in some way no matter how small You use me to touch someone for You today. Help me to walk in Your light and make that light visible to those who see me. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Trials and tribulations offer us a chance to make reparation for our past faults and sins. On such occasions the Lord comes to us like a physician to heal the wounds left by our sins. Tribulation is the divine medicine.

Abba, Father, Lord God, aware and thankful for all your blessings; humbled I rise seeking Your will first, knowing all along it is only in Jesus Christ that I will find what I need to feel Your will and follow it. In the communion of my spirit with the Holy Spirit, I know I can feel oneness with You through Jesus, I seek consciousness of the spirit to discipline and strengthen my faith in the service of others for His name sake and passion. I lift up to You all those who feel poor in spirit, weak and needy praying for them and asking that for the sake of His passion You would have mercy on them and on the whole world.
