My Daily Prayers and Readings for 9/02/2011

Abba Father the earth is filled with Your love, if we allow ourselves to feel it. Your decrees have been handed down through the ages for us who seek Your narrow path. For it is not easy and will have its share of pain and disappointment. So we must be on guard not to be hypocrites; for if we say we believe, we must walk with eyes of faith, especially when we cannot see what lies ahead. And in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit pray without ceasing that You create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me, moment by moment, for to walk as one, in and with Jesus, I must reflect His image at all times. And when I stumble and fall, I must rise up quickly standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Humbly asking that You make me a channel of Your peace and bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; and if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
