My Daily Prayers and Readings for 06/21/2013

The earth is the LORD’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it; for he founded it on the seas and established it on the waters.

Lord God, my source of source, I confess that there are times I struggle with being in control. I usurp Your rightful place, and try to orchestrate life to my liking. Forgive me. I need Your Spirit to produce godly self-control within me, and to find my place as Your servant.1 This is why through the Holy Spirit within me and in the name of Jesus Christ, I come to You each morning, so that You can create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power.(r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying in through the Spirit and in the name of Jesus on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. Being alert and always praying for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
