My Daily Prayers and Readings for 03/05/2014

Meanwhile his disciples urged him, “Rabbi, eat something.” But he said to them, “I have food to eat that you know nothing about.” Then his disciples said to each other, “Could someone have brought him food?” “My food,” said Jesus, “is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work.”

Abba Father, so tune my heart and will to Yours that all else fades. Draw me out of my comfort zone and into the places where You are at work to draw people to Yourself. Energize me through Your Spirit.1 Through the Holy Spirit within me keep my heart pure, and my spirit steadfast for my one walk in and with You today. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying without ceasing for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.

Lord God, You know what today holds and what You want to accomplish in and through me. Clear my mind of preconceived ideas that might blind me to what You have in store for me and those around me today. Help me to choose to follow You into my day, embracing Your will and desire as I live this day You have given me.1 Create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me for my one walk in and with You today. As a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying in and through the Spirit and in the name of Jesus on all occasions for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. Being alert to always pray for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Surely the righteous will never be shaken; they will be remembered forever. They will have no fear of bad news; their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the LORD.

Lord God, my heart is steadfast in the midst of changing circumstances. You are the sovereign Lord who holds the universe and my life in Your hand. May my life and leadership today reflect confidence in Your presence and guidance.1 Create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying in through the Spirit and in the name of Jesus on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. Being alert to always pray for those You place in my path. My Daily Prayers and Readings for 01/30/2014

Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.” Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’”

Lord God, I set aside this time to spend with You, for time in Your presence, meditating on Your Word, and communicating with You.1 To let You create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. To free me of any judgement and to fill me with forgiveness and love. To get strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) To remind me that if even I get nothing else done this day, I need to spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. To pray without ceasing for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and for those You place in my path. To ask that whenever I speak, You would give me the words so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 01/22/2014

Jesus called them together and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them. Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave.

Jesus, today may my life reflect Your salvation and may my leadership reflect Your call to servant leadership. I pray in Your name and for Your kingdom’s sake. Create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me for my one walk in and with You. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying on all occasions for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. My Daily Prayers and Readings for 01/16/2014

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.

Lord God, help me to relate to and serve others in humility, following Your example. Create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Help me to stay strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Remind me that even if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.

Lord God, You are my Maker, my Redeemer, my Sustainer, my Wisdom. You have given me this day for Your purposes. Regardless of what the coming hours hold, in this moment, I bow before You in worship, I commit this day to You, and I entrust myself into Your care.1 Through the Holy Spirit within me and in the name of Jesus Christ, I come to You so that You will create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. For my one walk in and with You today. As a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love.
