I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do.

Today by the grace of God I start my One Walk with Jesus with…

A verse…

I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing.
Romans 7:15-19

A thought…

But for the grace of God. If we are honest with ourselves, we all can related to Paul in today’s verse. Why is it so?

“People think it’s our job to bridge the gap by effort. Self-sanctification is no more God’s plan than self-salvation. God’s plan is not just for us to be saved by grace – it’s for us to live by grace.”
– John Ortberg

Giving thanks for…

God’s Word, God’s grace, my family, my health, the day the Lord God has made. The blessings which my Lord God bestowes on me and mine. For Jesus’s love and Passion which allows me to have this time with God.

A prayer…

Dear Lord God, Abba Father, thank You for Your Word and those called to preach the Good News. You always place the right verse, reading, song, sermon, devotion or program before me. How is this so? Jesus is within me and You do know what I need before I know or ask. Your mercy and grace is never ending and sustains my One Walk. Oh that You would use me to show mine and others Your plan and how we to live by grace, and grace alone. In Jesus name I pray. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

The Lord is there extending his healing hand.

The Words written in red…

In The Words Jesus of Nazareth, Lee Cantelon compiled Jesus’ words thematically, in clear and modern English, for non-Christians, spiritual seekers, agnostics and believers. Just like I believe everyone should read the Bible, or start with the New Testament from beginning to end, or at least start with the four Gospels starting with John Luke Matthew and Mark. Or the Words written in red, those spoken by Jesus.
