“I am the good shepherd.

Dear God, my Abba Father, Lord Jesus my Savior, thank You for reminding me, You want us to pray for all people. This is so easy to forget in a world filled with so much hate and radicalism. When everything we hold dear is under attack.
So help me hear, see and react with a heart likened to Yours. Praying without ceasing. Not only for mine and those You put in my path, but for everyone. Even those who attack what I believe.

Gospel John 10:1-10

Jesus said:
“Amen, amen, I say to you,
whoever does not enter a sheepfold through the gate but climbs over elsewhere is a thief and a robber.
But whoever enters through the gate is the shepherd of the sheep.
The gatekeeper opens it for him, and the sheep hear his voice,
as the shepherd calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.
When he has driven out all his own, he walks ahead of them, and the sheep follow him,
because they recognize his voice.
But they will not follow a stranger; they will run away from him,
because they do not recognize the voice of strangers.”
Although Jesus used this figure of speech,
the Pharisees did not realize what he was trying to tell them.
So Jesus said again, “Amen, amen, I say to you, I am the gate for the sheep.
All who came before me are thieves and robbers,
but the sheep did not listen to them.
I am the gate.
Whoever enters through me will be saved, and will come in and go out and find pasture.
A thief comes only to steal and slaughter and destroy;
I came so that they might have life and have it more abundantly.”

Dear God, my Abba Father, Lord Jesus my Savior, thank You today’s readings. For I have become convinced You are the gate. You are my Shepherd, You hear and know me and mine, and we hear Your voice, and seek to know You more each day.
The world is full of thief’s who having sold their souls to evil one through lies and temptations try to distract and separate us from You. Taking advantage of our weaknesses and selfish desires.
We must put on the armor of God, and surround ourselves in Jesus. Following Him as He leads us. Praying without ceasing for a discerning heart likened to His. Trusting Jesus, Seeking Jesus, in everything.
Always praying… Jesus, Mary, I love You, save souls.

Gospel John 6:60-69

Many of the disciples of Jesus who were listening said,
“This saying is hard; who can accept it?”
Since Jesus knew that his disciples were murmuring about this,
he said to them, “Does this shock you?
What if you were to see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before?
It is the Spirit that gives life, while the flesh is of no avail.
The words I have spoken to you are Spirit and life.
But there are some of you who do not believe.”
Jesus knew from the beginning the ones who would not believe
and the one who would betray him.
And he said, “For this reason I have told you that no one can come to me
unless it is granted him by my Father.”
As a result of this,
many of his disciples returned to their former way of life
and no longer walked with him.

My prayer…

Dear God, my Abba Father, Lord Jesus my Savior, thank You for today’s readings and devotions, which along with today’s worship songs focus my mind, body and spirit on You. Your love the source of my hope and faith.
For as Peter answered Jesus in today’s Gospel reading… ‘You have the words of eternal life. I have come to believe and am convinced that You are the Holy One of God.”‘
The world and Your Church is a mess with so many lost souls whom for various reasons have lost faith and no longer believe, but refuse to go away and leave. Instead they seek to destroy everything we cherish from within. Having sold their souls to the evil things for power and the material things of this world. They are corrupt and full of lies, and like the evil one roam around seeking only to destroy and separate; friends, family, homes and most of the Church. Help us Jesus. Help us to stand, out on the armor of God and fight.
Lord, hear our cries, and prayers. Strengthen us for the battles ahead with a pure and discerning heart, focused on You.

Whoever eats my Flesh and drinks my Blood,
remains in me and I in him, says the Lord.

Gospel John 6:52-59

The Jews quarreled among themselves, saying,
“How can this man give us his Flesh to eat?”
Jesus said to them,
“Amen, amen, I say to you,
unless you eat the Flesh of the Son of Man and drink his Blood,

Dear God, my Abba Father, Lord Jesus my Savior, thank You always taking my hand when I cry and reach out.
For the ways of this world are not Your ways. And on our own are ways of thinking and looking at the world are not as You see it and created it to be. So whenever we lose sight of the risen Jesus, we will find ourselves sinking in the evil and corruption of this world.
Hear my prayer, Lord, save me, save us!
