Reading I Haggai 1:1-8
On the first day of the sixth month in the second year of King Darius,
The word of the LORD came through the prophet Haggai
to the governor of Judah, Zerubbabel, son of Shealtiel,
and to the high priest Joshua, son of Jehozadak:
Thus says the LORD of hosts:
This people says:
“The time has not yet come to rebuild the house of the LORD.”
(Then this word of the LORD came through Haggai, the prophet:)
Is it time for you to dwell in your own paneled houses,
while this house lies in ruins?
Now thus says the LORD of hosts:
Consider your ways!
You have sown much, but have brought in little;
you have eaten, but have not been satisfied;

God, through Haggai, reminds the people that if you want to renew the Church you have to begin with what is most important. In essence, the people must put first things first. Until they put God first, they will not be satisfied. Strive today to put God first.

Dear God, my Abba Father, Lord Jesus my Savior, Holy Spirit within me.
Today Saint Padre Pio’s words ring out loud… Pray, Hope and Don’t Worry. To be that close to You. To know that I have purified my mind, body and soul making You my top priority. One Walk with Jesus, this is my desire, my goal.
I thank You always for all Your blessings, starting with each of mine and theirs. For calling each of us to You. I pray that each would find their way onto to their path with You.
Not my will, but Yours Lord God.
Jesus, Mary, I love You, save souls.
In Jesus name I pray.
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
