It was not to angels that God subjected the world to come,
of which we are speaking.
Instead, someone has testified somewhere:
What is man that you are mindful of him,
 or the son of man that you care for him?
 You made him for a little while lower than the angels;
 you crowned him with glory and honor,
 subjecting all things under his feet.
In “subjecting” all things to him,
he left nothing not “subject to him.”
Yet at present we do not see “all things subject to him,” 
but we do see Jesus “crowned with glory and honor”
because he suffered death,
he who “for a little while” was made “lower than the angels,”
that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.
For it was fitting that he,
for whom and through whom all things exist,
in bringing many children to glory,
should make the leader to their salvation perfect through suffering.
He who consecrates
and those who are being consecrated all have one origin.
Therefore, he is not ashamed to call them “brothers” saying:
I will proclaim your name to my brethren,
 in the midst of the assembly I will praise you.

Have you come to destroy us?
I know who you are–the Holy One of God!” 
Jesus rebuked him and said, “Quiet! Come out of him!”
The unclean spirit convulsed him and with a loud cry came out of him.

“What is this?
A new teaching with authority.
He commands even the unclean spirits and they obey him.”

Dear God, my Abba Father, Lord Jesus my Savior, Holy Spirit within me.
Lord, give me courage and wisdom when I face the activity of the evil one in this world. Give me wisdom to discern his hand at work and give me courage to confront and rebuke him with Your love and authority. May Your authority be alive in my life, and the life’s of each of mine, Lord Jesus, and may I daily become a better instrument of the coming of Your Kingdom as I confront the evil present in this world with faith, and courage from my confidence in Your Word, and evidence of Your hand in my life and the life’s of mine.

Through his anointing, Jesus’ baptism is the time when he becomes the Christ. His baptism fulfills all righteousness, and the whole Trinity manifests as a revelation of who God is—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Dear God, my Abba Father, Lord Jesus my Savior, Holy Spirit within me.
Lord, I thank You for Your humble act of baptism by which You opened the Heavens to all who are sinners. May I open my heart to the unfathomable grace of my own baptism each and every day and more fully live with You as a child of the Father, filled with the Holy Spirit.

Walking with eyes of faith, trusting You for everything. Yet doing what I can to know and fulfill Your purpose for me.
Thank You for the gift of each of mine. For letting me feel and know their love. Your blessings are beyond measure, thank You. Continue to walk with us today. Protecting us from evil, illness and the worries of this world and all of it’s uncertainty. Keep us focused on You. Confident that You are in control. And we just have to be ready to act.

Dear God, my Abba Father, Lord Jesus my Savior, Holy Spirit within me.
Lord, I love You and pray that I will be open to Your guiding hand in my life. May I always be attentive to the countless ways that You call to me each and every day. And may I always respond to You with all my heart.
Give me the discernment and wisdom to learn what and how I show do what You call me to do. Help me know if I am putting mine, and there relationship with You before You. Or am I putting them before You. Do they need me, or do I need them. More than You? Help me know.
The times are challenging, they are many things to be anxious over when I take my eyes, mind and heart. So keep me focused on You.

Thank You for walking with me and mine. Help me have confidence in Your presence and protection of each of them. For I have seen the evidence of Your presence.

Help me find my strength and confidence when I am struggling like I am at this time. For I know You will use us and all things for Your glory.

Beloved:
We have this confidence in God,
that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.

If anyone sees his brother sinning, if the sin is not deadly,

This is only for those whose sin is not deadly.
There is such a thing as deadly sin,
about which I do not say that you should pray.
All wrongdoing is sin, but there is sin that is not deadly.

We know that no one begotten by God sins;
but the one begotten by God he protects,

We know that we belong to God,

Now there were six stone water jars there for Jewish ceremonial washings,
each holding twenty to thirty gallons.
Jesus told them,
"Fill the jars with water."

"Draw some out now and take it to the headwaiter."
So they took it.
And when the headwaiter tasted the water that had become wine,
without knowing where it came from
(although the servers who had drawn the water knew),
the headwaiter called the bridegroom and said to him,
"Everyone serves good wine first,
and then when people have drunk freely, an inferior one;
but you have kept the good wine until now."
Jesus did this as the beginning of his signs at Cana in Galilee
and so revealed his glory,
and his disciples began to believe in him.

Dear God, my Abba Father, Lord Jesus my Savior, Holy Spirit within me.
Jesus, my Savior, I do thank You for the unfathomable gift You have given me and mine. You took on our fallen human nature and transformed it by this unity of Your divinity and humanity. You died for my sins and the sins of all who turn to You, and You opened the doors to Heaven. May I always grow more deeply in gratitude for all You have done for us.
Walking in this world wears on us. Causing doubt and regret from memories of past sinful ways and sins. At these times I cry out… get behind me Satan, help me Jesus. Lord You hear my cry. Continue to hear my cry and prayers as I seek to draw closer to You. An example for each of mine and those You place in my path.

This is the message you have heard from the beginning:
we should love one another,

We know that we have passed from death to life
because we love our brothers.

Help us, also, to be open in our faith journey so that others will see all that You are doing in us and receive Your invitation, through us, to follow You. Giving us the right words to share at the right time.

John was standing with two of his disciples,

“where are you staying?”

Andrew, the brother of Simon Peter,

He first found his own brother Simon and told him,
“We have found the Messiah,” which is translated Christ.

Dear God, my Abba Father, Lord Jesus my Savior, Holy Spirit within me.
Lord, You continuously invite me to come to You, to be with You and to sit with You in Your divine presence. Please help me to hear this gentle invitation of Your love. As I do, please open the eyes of my soul to see You, know You and love You more fully. And as I see You, give me grace and strength to follow You wherever You lead. Always acting and reacting with love, but in faith, defending the faith. Teach me! Show me Your truths. Give me a discerning ear, mind and heart. Avoiding sin but praying in love for the sinner.
