One Walk

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 08/15/2013

We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.

Abba Father through the Holy Spirit within me and in the name of Jesus Christ, I come to You so that You will create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. For my one walk in and with You today with eyes of faith, as a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l)  Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying through the Spirit and in the name of Jesus on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. Being alert and always praying for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord.  Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.

Lord God, I know You are my source of source. I come to You each morning so that You will create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. For my one walk in and with You today. As a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l)  Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying in the Spirit and in the name of Jesus on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. Being alert and always praying for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel. Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.

Focused on my one walk in and with You today, as a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Open to Your will for me and ready to be used. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l)  Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying through the Spirit in each moment for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. Staying alert and always praying for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known Your presence in me and the truth in the mystery of the gospel. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
