Abba, Father, Lord God, ever thankful, but never so as when with my love ones; I try to feel each blessing, but one of the things I ask is for the wisdom and understanding to know and practice what Jesus teaches us today. That when I come across a house not worthy of the peace I seek, that my peace may return to me confident in Jesus, His love, His truths, and that He has overcome, and in and through Him I too can rise above those houses found unworthy under the sun. And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover." So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. Abba, Father, Lord God, thankful for all Your blessings and for the hunger of You Word, and thirst to be know You. Looking back at this days that the busyness under the sun and my willingness to let them keep me from You this day, I ask that help me learn and grow from these readings as You intended on this day for I pray for that portion of You Wisdom and understanding that You find me fit and ready to have so that I may put Your gifts to good work for You according to You will. And they said, "Some say John the Baptist, others say Eli’jah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets." He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?" Simon Peter replied, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." And Jesus answered him, "Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jona! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven and I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the powers of death shall not prevail against it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven."

If he wants you to be sick in bed, if he wants you to proclaim His work in the street, if he wants you to clean the toilets all day, that’s all right, everything is all right. We must say, "I belong to you. You can do whatever you like." And this… is our strength, and this is the joy of the Lord.

Abba, Father, Lord God, thankful for all the blessings You have bestowed upon me I remain conscious of Your teachings and that I have much work to do and I am aware of the importance to surround myself with that which will remind me of Your presence and help me practice the wisdom of what You through Jesus in the Spirit show and teach me.  I pray that You will continue to bless me indeed, enlarge my territory, and that Your hand will be with me to keep me from evil and from causing pain; I also ask in Jesus name that You will strengthen the Spirit within me providing me with the discipline and energy to do what I must do and then be able to one day look back like St. Paul and be able to say, ‘I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.‘ (2 Timothy 4:7) All along never walking to fast that I am not able to stop and retreat to that quick place where it is just be You, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
