Readings & Prayer – Blessed are the poor, … you that hunger, … you that weep now, …you wgo are hated… on account of the Son of man!

Dear Lord God, You continue to bless me and pouring Your mercy and grace down upon me even when I stumble. Unworthy as I am as the Palmist sings everyday I bless Thee and praise Thy name, giving thanks and dying to myself to rise with my Lord Jesus Christ. Always seeking to feel closer to You through Him and His teachings in the Spirit. Always praying for Wisdom, but content to live a life of faith, hope and love in Christ. For nothing else makes sense and I know I am not of this earthly place, but belong to You. And as Your servant seek Your will and purpose, but as much as I need You as my daily bread, I know there are others facing real problems that are not of their doing. I lift up to You these souls who face daily tribulations and pain as the result of others and ask and pray that You continue to carry them and that for those You already love and know You, You feed them this day with an extra portion of Your mercy and grace, showing them in some way that You are with them and in their suffering they are not a lone.  For those that have yet to accept they love and need You, I ask that their heart be opened without having to endure anymore suffering and pain. That You send someone across their path to touch them for You. O Lord for the sake of His sorrowful passion have mercy on all of us who love and know You and on the whole world. In Jesus name I ask and pray, Amen.

1 If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. 3 For you have died, and your life is hid with Christ in God. 4 When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. 5 Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: fornication, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. 6 On account of these the wrath of God is coming. 7 In these you once walked, when you lived in them. 8 But now put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and foul talk from your mouth. 9 Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old nature with its practices 10 and have put on the new nature, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator. 11 Here there cannot be Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scyth’ian, slave, free man, but Christ is all, and in all.

Prayer & Readings – Christ stands out for us as the example of this teaching: if Christ laid down his life for us, so we also ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.

Dear Lord God, once again I cried out and You answered me! Now while I seek Your righteousness, I know I fall short and often backwards, but I get up now looking for You for I do seek Your righteousness. To reflect the fruit of the Spirit, the image of Jesus Christ is all I could ever hope for or to be; yet I fully know that I do understand or have not figured out or is it that I do not want to hear Jesus’ words for while I am far from a rich man, the message is the same; yet I cannot get past my need to care for those that I have brought with me to this point in time and state of life. I know that it is this vision of providing material comforts and security, as earthly as it was and is and as poorly as I have performed in doing it that as put me in this state, but I believe there must and is away to server Your will and provide for those I love and those in need. I feel You are calling me to find that away, but You are teaching me what it is not first. O Lord there is so much I do not understand, but I know what I need to know and to do and that may mean waiting on You. So I will continue to seek Your will and propose, listening with an attentive ear and open heart, or at least this is my prayer that in and through Jesus and in His Blessed Holy name You would direct me and used me while providing me with clarity, so that I am not viewed as all the other hypocrites that hide their true selves behind false righteousness and works. Hear me Lord God, provide me that which You know I need to do what You direct of me and know that I see every blessing and give thanks and praise to You and all the glory and honor to Jesus Christ. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
 
The good Shepherd lays down his life, says the Lord, that is, his physical life, for His sheep; this he does because of his authority and love. Both in fact, are required: that they should be ruled by him, and that he should love them. The first without the second is not enough. Christ stands out for us as the example of this teaching: if Christ laid down his life for us, so we also ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.

Readings & Prayer – I no longer desire to live a purely human life.

Dear Lord God, there is so much I have yet to understand about the mystery of Christ Jesus, but at the same time I know all I need to do; trust in Him, take His yoke. For in and through Jesus I will find my daily bread, to accept and fulfill Your will on earth as it is in heaven. O Lord that You would bless me today and that Your hand would be with me to keep me from evil and from causing pain. O Lord for the sake of His sorrowful passion have mercy on us and on the whole world. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
 
I no longer desire to live a purely human life. Make this your choice if you yourselves would be chosen. – St. Ignatius of Antioch
 
24 Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I complete what is lacking in Christ’s afflictions for the sake of his body, that is, the church, 25 of which I became a minister according to the divine office which was given to me for you, to make the word of God fully known, 26 the mystery hidden for ages and generations but now made manifest to his saints. 27 To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. 28 Him we proclaim, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man mature in Christ. 29 For this I toil, striving with all the energy which he mightily inspires within me.
1 For I want you to know how greatly I strive for you, and for those at La-odice’a, and for all who have not seen my face, 2 that their hearts may be encouraged as they are knit together in love, to have all the riches of assured understanding and the knowledge of God’s mystery, of Christ, 3 in whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

6 On another sabbath, when he entered the synagogue and taught, a man was there whose right hand was withered. 7 And the scribes and the Pharisees watched him, to see whether he would heal on the sabbath, so that they might find an accusation against him. 8 But he knew their thoughts, and he said to the man who had the withered hand, "Come and stand here." And he rose and stood there. 9 And Jesus said to them, "I ask you, is it lawful on the sabbath to do good or to do harm, to save life or to destroy it?" 10 And he looked around on them all, and said to him, "Stretch out your hand." And he did so, and his hand was restored. 11 But they were filled with fury and discussed with one another what they might do to Jesus.

And he rose and stood there. 9 And Jesus said to them, "I ask you, is it lawful on the sabbath to do good or to do harm, to save life or to destroy it?" 10 And he looked around on them all, and said to him, "Stretch out your hand." And he did so, and his hand was restored. 11 But they were filled with fury and discussed with one another what they might do to Jesus.
