Reading 1 Philippians 3:17—4:1

Join with others in being imitators of me, brothers and sisters,
and observe those who thus conduct themselves
according to the model you have in us.
For many, as I have often told you
and now tell you even in tears,
conduct themselves as enemies of the cross of Christ.
Their end is destruction.
Their God is their stomach;
their glory is in their “shame.”
Their minds are occupied with earthly things.
But our citizenship is in heaven,
and from it we also await a savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
He will change our lowly body
to conform with his glorified Body
by the power that enables him also
to bring all things into subjection to himself.
Therefore, my brothers and sisters,
whom I love and long for, my joy and crown,

Gospel Luke 16:1-8

Jesus said to his disciples, “A rich man had a steward
who was reported to him for squandering his property.
He summoned him and said,
‘What is this I hear about you?
Prepare a full account of your stewardship,
because you can no longer be my steward.’
The steward said to himself, ‘What shall I do,
now that my master is taking the position of steward away from me?
I am not strong enough to dig and I am ashamed to beg.
I know what I shall do so that,
when I am removed from the stewardship,
they may welcome me into their homes.’
He called in his master’s debtors one by one.
To the first he said, ‘How much do you owe my master?’
He replied, ‘One hundred measures of olive oil.’
He said to him, ‘Here is your promissory note.
Sit down and quickly write one for fifty.’
Then to another he said, ‘And you, how much do you owe?’
He replied, ‘One hundred measures of wheat.’
He said to him, ‘Here is your promissory note;
write one for eighty.’
And the master commended that dishonest steward for acting prudently.
For the children of this world
are more prudent in dealing with their own generation
than the children of light.”

Today’s Action Item: Follow the examples of the Saints.

My prayer…

Dear God, my Abba Father, Lord Jesus my Savior, thank You for everything. For walking with me and mine. For blessing us in so many ways, most of all the desire to be together.
In a world consumed by hate and selfishness, absent of love we need to be love by following the examples of the Saints. This takes much prayer and one on one time with You Lord. There a lot we must work through to die to ourselves for someone who hates you and what you believe. But that’s what the world needs now. Strength through love.
Only Jesus can show us the way. So I pray without ceasing… Jesus show us Your face.
Jesus, Mary, I love You, save souls.
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Reading 1 Philippians 3:3-8A

Brothers and sisters:
We are the circumcision,
we who worship through the Spirit of God,
who boast in Christ Jesus and do not put our confidence in flesh,
although I myself have grounds for confidence even in the flesh.
If anyone else thinks he can be confident in flesh, all the more can I.
Circumcised on the eighth day,
of the race of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin,
a Hebrew of Hebrew parentage,
in observance of the law a Pharisee,
in zeal I persecuted the Church,
in righteousness based on the law I was blameless.
But whatever gains I had,
these I have come to consider a loss because of Christ.
More than that, I even consider everything as a loss

Gospel Luke 15:1-10

The tax collectors and sinners were all drawing near to listen to Jesus,
but the Pharisees and scribes began to complain, saying,
“This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.”
So Jesus addressed this parable to them.
“What man among you having a hundred sheep and losing one of them
would not leave the ninety-nine in the desert
and go after the lost one until he finds it?
And when he does find it,
he sets it on his shoulders with great joy
and, upon his arrival home,
he calls together his friends and neighbors and says to them,
‘Rejoice with me because I have found my lost sheep.’
I tell you, in just the same way
there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents
than over ninety-nine righteous people
who have no need of repentance.
“Or what woman having ten coins and losing one
would not light a lamp and sweep the house,
searching carefully until she finds it?
And when she does find it,
she calls together her friends and neighbors
and says to them,
‘Rejoice with me because I have found the coin that I lost.’
In just the same way, I tell you,
there will be rejoicing among the angels of God
over one sinner who repents.”

My prayer…

Dear God, my Abba Father, Lord Jesus my Savior, thank You Lord for everything. You do use all things for Your good, showing and teaching us. All for the purpose of bringing us closer to You and for Your glory.
I’ll feel Your are using these times to show us how hate blinds and separates, and by contrast how love heals and unites. You are giving the Christians in name only, what they want, and calling Your Christian followers to ready themselves in and through live, to go out find and preach the gospel to them.
For this is not our world, we are here preparing for Your kingdom.
So hear my prayers for me and mine, and our country, and for the lost and for Your followers.
Jesus, Mary, I love You, save souls.

and even his own life,

Whoever does not carry his own cross and come after me
cannot be my disciple.
Which of you wishing to construct a tower
does not first sit down and calculate the cost
to see if there is enough for its completion?
Otherwise, after laying the foundation
and finding himself unable to finish the work
the onlookers should laugh at him and say,
‘This one began to build but did not have the resources to finish.’
Or what king marching into battle would not first sit down
and decide whether with ten thousand troops
he can successfully oppose another king
advancing upon him with twenty thousand troops?
But if not, while he is still far away,
he will send a delegation to ask for peace terms.
In the same way,
everyone of you who does not renounce all his possessions
cannot be my disciple.”

‘I have purchased a field and must go to examine it;

My prayer…

Dear God, my Abba Father, Lord Jesus my Savior, thank You for everything. I put all my trust, faith and hope in You. Knowing You will, will be done here on earth as in heaven.
While I feel today we are at a cross road as a nation. I know Christ is King of all nations. At that at His name every nation and person will kneel.
So I pray for all those who have taken their eyes off You and allowed their hearts to be hardened. Used today to touch them, awaken them. Let them hear Your voice and answer Your call.
And for those worried and anxious about what today and tomorrow will bring I pray for courage. That their faith may be strengthened and their hope renewed.
Let today be the start of a revival.
Jesus, Mary, I love You, save souls.

I give thanks to my God at every remembrance of you,

Teach us Your truths Lord. Show us the way through the division and hate that surrounds us. Protecting us from evil and helping us to not cause any pain.

Reading 1 Ephesians 6:10-20

Brothers and sisters:
Draw your strength from the Lord and from his mighty power.
Put on the armor of God so that you may be able to stand firm
against the tactics of the Devil.
For our struggle is not with flesh and blood
but with the principalities, with the powers,
with the world rulers of this present darkness,
with the evil spirits in the heavens.
Therefore, put on the armor of God,
that you may be able to resist on the evil day
and, having done everything, to hold your ground.
So stand fast with your loins girded in truth,
clothed with righteousness as a breastplate,
and your feet shod in readiness for the Gospel of peace.
In all circumstances, hold faith as a shield,
to quench all the flaming arrows of the Evil One.
And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit,
which is the word of God.
With all prayer and supplication,
pray at every opportunity in the Spirit.
To that end, be watchful with all perseverance and supplication
for all the holy ones and also for me,
that speech may be given me to open my mouth,
to make known with boldness the mystery of the Gospel
for which I am an ambassador in chains,
so that I may have the courage to speak as I must.

Gospel Luke 13:31-35

Some Pharisees came to Jesus and said,
“Go away, leave this area because Herod wants to kill you.”
He replied, “Go and tell that fox,
‘Behold, I cast out demons and I perform healings today and tomorrow,
and on the third day I accomplish my purpose.
Yet I must continue on my way today, tomorrow, and the following day,
for it is impossible that a prophet should die
outside of Jerusalem.’
“Jerusalem, Jerusalem,
you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you,
how many times I yearned to gather your children together
as a hen gathers her brood under her wings,
but you were unwilling!
Behold, your house will be abandoned.
But I tell you, you will not see me until the time comes when you say,
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.”

My prayer…

Dear God, my Abba Father, Lord Jesus my Savior, thank You for each and every blessing. For all that we have under the sun is because of the Son. Through Him we receive enough grace and mercy for each day. In Him we can find rest for our body and soul, but we must stay alert, we must stay prepared and aware.
We are in a spiritual battle. We must put on the armor of God. We must pray without ceasing. We must seek truth and develop a discerning eye, ear, mind and heart for God’s way. His Word, His truths.
Remembering we are not of this world.
Jesus, Mary, I love You, save souls.
In Jesus name I pray. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Apostles (Nicene) Creed

I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.
