One Walk

Today my One Walk with Jesus started in the Psalms with Haven today on Moody Radio. From when I wake I fight to focus on Jesus. I’m always amazed but never surprised how He meets me in my need. Helping me to think and pray for God’s wisdom, understanding and guidance.

My prayer…

Dear Lord God, Abba Father, Jesus my Savior, thank You for each new day and for Your continued blessings. For all You bring my way throughout the day to keep me going and focused on You. Though the days are long and sometimes trying, Your sweet touch reminds me of my why, Your why, the bigger eternal picture. It’s in these moments I get just enough wisdom and understanding to forget about me and focus on You and the one You place in front of me. Thank You.

In Jesus name I pray. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

A thought…

The balance between authority and loving respect is not always easy for fathers to achieve. But if Jesus corrected his disciples for wanting to be in places of authority—at his right hand or his left in his kingdom—we dads need to figure out what the combined roles of father and servant look like.

This Monday my One Walk with Jesus starts with prayer, as I seek to pray without ceasing for healing and blessing…

Praying without ceasing…

Dear Lord God, Abba Father, in the name of Jesus my Lord and Savior I pray…

and praise you, Lord, that you provide for the healing of our emotions. You created our every emotion for a reason, but when not surrendered to you, our emotions can cause us all sorts of trouble. I thank You that as we wear the belt of truth, our emotions are in subjection to the truth, aligned with the truth, and must follow the truth. Your Word says that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us (Philippians 4:13) and that your power is perfected in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9.) I know we can overcome these emotional strongholds through You.

Abba Father, Your favor carries with it a lot of power. It kept Esther alive when she could have been killed. It provided the way for the escaping Israelites to have what they needed when they left Egypt, “And I will give this people favor in the sight of the Egyptians; and when you go, you shall not go empty,” (Exodus 3:21, ESV). I have faith that whatever we are facing – whether it’s a rift in a relationship, a financial burden, health issue, job situation – that if You will grant favor, I can overcome. Grant this favor, Lord, so that we will receive Your power.

Thank You for today and for Your continued blessings. For all You bring our way throughout the day to keep us going and focused on You. Though the days are long and trying, Your sweet touch reminds us of our why, Your why, the bigger eternal picture. It’s in these moments we can get just enough wisdom and understanding to forget about ourselves and focus on You and the ones You place in front of us. Thank You.
