My Daily Prayers and Readings for 11/03/2013

But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”

Abba Father I am humbled by Your blessings. Through the Holy Spirit within me and in the name of Jesus Christ, I come to You so that You will create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me for my one walk in and with You. As a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness, love and gratitude. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying without ceasing for me and mine to fulfill Your will. Alert to always pray for those You place in my path. Always looking to You, so that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, to fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

“For I have chosen him, so that he will direct his children and his household after him to keep the way of the Lord.”

Abba Father I come to You in prayer through the Spirit and in the name of Jesus, asking that will guide me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. I ask You to create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within us for our one walk in and with You. As a channels of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Remembering that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. Staying alert and always praying for those You place in our path. Asking that whenever we speak, words may be given to us, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. My Daily Prayers and Readings for 11/01/2013

What is the source of quarrels and conflicts among you? Is not the source your pleasures that wage war in your members? You lust and do not have; so you commit murder. You are envious and cannot obtain; so you fight and quarrel. You do not have because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures. You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. Or do you think that the Scripture speaks to no purpose: “He jealously desires the Spirit which He has made to dwell in us”? But He gives a greater grace. Therefore it says, “God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”

Abba Father how easily it is to lose conscious awareness of Your Spirit within us. For the teachings and ways under the sun numb our spiritual senses. Separating us from You and keeping us from being what You created us to be. Only when we find the courage to accept Your truths and humbly approach the foot of the Cross can we find ourselves in Jesus. This is why I come to You each day asking that You create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. And why I pray without ceasing for me and mine to fulfill Your will through one walk. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

If you have faith as a mustard seed . . . nothing will be impossible for you

Abba Father with eyes of faith, help me to walk by faith. To remain true to Your character no matter what. Let my ‘one walk’ be an example to mine and others of faith being worked out in the reality of my experiences. Never confusing the trial of faith with the ordinary discipline of life,1 which we must all learn by our one to one relationship with You. Help me to make sure that whenever I speak, words are given to me, so that I will be able to fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. Which starts with a pure heart, likened to Jesus’ and a steadfast spirit. Strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. As a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Putting my love for You and others first, as You love me. Praying through the Spirit for me and mine to fulfill Your will. And always praying for those You place in my path. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen

Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.

Lord Jesus, thank You for dispelling the fear from my life by letting me know the end of the story. I can rest in the assurance that as Your follower I will one day be with You in Your glorious, eternal kingdom.1 This I believe, help my disbelief. Create in me a pure heart likened to Your. Renew a steadfast spirit within me for my one walk in and with You today. As a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying through the Spirit on all occasions for me and mine to fulfill Your will. Being alert to always praying for those You place in my path. Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life [position] for his friends.

Abba Father keep teaching me to love through sacrifice. To die to myself in the now of each moment to fulfill Your will and purpose. With a pure heart, and a steadfast spirit within me. Keep me stay strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Ready for my one walk in and with You today. A channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Remembering that if I get nothing else done, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. If when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life

Abba Father I must remind myself, that I am not saved by believing— at some point I simply realize I am saved by believing. I am not saved by following— again at some point, repentance is only the sign that I realize what God has done through Christ Jesus. The danger for me is putting the emphasis on the effect, instead of on the cause. For my salvation comes from You, it is not based on my logic or anything I can do, but on the sacrificial death of Jesus.1 The more I work this out in my one walk with You. The closer I get to being His disciple. For at the foot of the Cross is where You create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me each morning. Here I am free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) The key to my one walk is to remember this as I step out today. So that no matter what else, I spend this day loving You and others first, as You love me. Always praying for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will, and for those You place in my path. Connected to You in the now of each moment. So that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
