One Walk

Lord God, Abba Father, feelings of frustration, anger and helplessness surround me, yet I know that my emptiness must be addressed for I am thinking and walking according to the ways under the sun, not Your way, not in Your light with Jesus. So I rum to Your in Your Word and once again You speak to me through the words of Paul and Silas ‘Believe in the Lord Jesus and you and your household will be saved.’ Immediately I am convicted as to by which measure will I walk; that of under the sun rooted in separation from You, or that of the Son rooted in oneness through Him with You in the Holy Spirit. For I cannot serve both, and I must find comfort, I must have confidence, I must be an example by walking according to my belief, and always falling down before Jesus at the foot of the Cross at any moment of unbelief! Help me Lord! Help me fight my moments of unbelief with faith, hope, and love! Faith in the truths that Jesus has taught me, hope that You will serve Your purpose for me, love for You through Jesus and for all those You give me to serve. O that You would continue to bless me and mine, strengthening our faith through the daily moments of unbelief, renewing our hope in our moments with You, and teaching us to love as we are loved by You and Jesus. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Acts 16:22-34
The crowd in Philippi joined in the attack on Paul and Silas,
and the magistrates had them stripped
and ordered them to be beaten with rods.
After inflicting many blows on them,
they threw them into prison
and instructed the jailer to guard them securely.
When he received these instructions, he put them in the innermost cell
and secured their feet to a stake.

About midnight, while Paul and Silas were praying
and singing hymns to God as the prisoners listened,
there was suddenly such a severe earthquake
that the foundations of the jail shook;
all the doors flew open, and the chains of all were pulled loose.
When the jailer woke up and saw the prison doors wide open,
he drew his sword and was about to kill himself,
thinking that the prisoners had escaped.
But Paul shouted out in a loud voice,
"Do no harm to yourself; we are all here."
He asked for a light and rushed in and,
trembling with fear, he fell down before Paul and Silas.
Then he brought them out and said,
"Sirs, what must I do to be saved?"
And they said, "Believe in the Lord Jesus
and you and your household will be saved."
So they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to everyone in his house.
He took them in at that hour of the night and bathed their wounds;
then he and all his family were baptized at once.
He brought them up into his house and provided a meal
and with his household rejoiced at having come to faith in God.

Lord God, Abba Father, thankful, humble and aware in the Holy Spirit, I seek less of me and more of You through Jesus for I know a thankful heart does not get angry, a humble mind does not give up or sit still because in the Holy Spirit we are made aware of the call to love You above all and do everything for we do it for You, and love one another putting the others need first, always ready to lay ourselves, our pride, our wants down for the other. This I know and seek Jesus help through the Spirit to strengthen my walk according. This I ask and pray in Jesus name! In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

When Peter entered, Cornelius met him
and, falling at his feet, paid him homage.
Peter, however, raised him up, saying,
"Get up. I myself am also a human being."

Then Peter proceeded to speak and said,
"In truth, I see that God shows no partiality.
Rather, in every nation whoever fears him and acts uprightly
is acceptable to him."

While Peter was still speaking these things,
the Holy Spirit fell upon all who were listening to the word.
The circumcised believers who had accompanied Peter
were astounded that the gift of the Holy Spirit
should have been poured out on the Gentiles also,
for they could hear them speaking in tongues and glorifying God.
Then Peter responded,
"Can anyone withhold the water for baptizing these people,
who have received the Holy Spirit even as we have?"
He ordered them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ.

Lord God, Abba Father, are the reactions we have that much a reflection of what is in our heart, mind, or what our subconscious has become formed by the ways under the sun. If of heart then why when one is conscious does one regret so much, if of mind then why when one is conscious does one seek to change so much, but if of sub consciousness fed by selfishness and pride and all that is wrong and bad under the sun, then why is one so helpless? Why can’t one react consciously as one is rather than sub consciously as one was? If one cannot react consciously as one is in You then why can’t one grasp into consciousness only if serves to cause one to flee into You through and in Jesus. For if one cannot react as Jesus would, then one ought not to react at all. It is these times that I feel depth of Your truths are hidden within us, for that which the world is, is a reflection of what we have made it. Our eyes are a reflection of our reactions in sub conscious life; we must walk slowly in each moment to be conscious to not fall victim to ourselves. And only when we have mastered ourselves in Jesus can we look outside ourselves. Help me to finish the work You have begun in me through Jesus in the Holy Spirit. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Reading 1
Acts 16:1-10
Paul reached also Derbe and Lystra
where there was a disciple named Timothy,
the son of a Jewish woman who was a believer,
but his father was a Greek.
The brothers in Lystra and Iconium spoke highly of him,
and Paul wanted him to come along with him.
On account of the Jews of that region, Paul had him circumcised,
for they all knew that his father was a Greek.
As they traveled from city to city,
they handed on to the people for observance the decisions
reached by the Apostles and presbyters in Jerusalem.
Day after day the churches grew stronger in faith
and increased in number.

They traveled through the Phrygian and Galatian territory
because they had been prevented by the Holy Spirit
from preaching the message in the province of Asia.
When they came to Mysia, they tried to go on into Bithynia,
but the Spirit of Jesus did not allow them,
so they crossed through Mysia and came down to Troas.
During the night Paul had a vision.
A Macedonian stood before him and implored him with these words,
"Come over to Macedonia and help us."
When he had seen the vision,
we sought passage to Macedonia at once,
concluding that God had called us to proclaim the Good News to them.

Lord God, Abba Father, You are my source of source, by Your Word have all things been created, You know us totally and love us completely and as You are all good, You want only good for us; but have given us the freedom of choice. Yet under the sun the choices we make can bind us, and this too You foresaw and thus gave us the gift of Your only begotten Son, Jesus to free us from our sins that bind us. To show us the way, to teach us to love and forgive, as You love and forgive each of us. For by the Soul of Christ, we are sanctified, in the Body of Christ, we are saved, with the Blood of Christ, we are forgiven, by the Water from Christ’s side, we are washed clean, in the Passion of Christ, we are strengthened. Reading 1
Acts 15:22-31
The Apostles and presbyters, in agreement with the whole Church,
decided to choose representatives
and to send them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas.
The ones chosen were Judas, who was called Barsabbas,
and Silas, leaders among the brothers.
This is the letter delivered by them:
"The Apostles and the presbyters, your brothers,
to the brothers in Antioch, Syria, and Cilicia
of Gentile origin: greetings.
Since we have heard that some of our number
who went out without any mandate from us
have upset you with their teachings
and disturbed your peace of mind,
we have with one accord decided to choose representatives
and to send them to you along with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,
who have dedicated their lives to the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
So we are sending Judas and Silas
who will also convey this same message by word of mouth:
‘It is the decision of the Holy Spirit and of us
not to place on you any burden beyond these necessities,
namely, to abstain from meat sacrificed to idols,
from blood, from meats of strangled animals,
and from unlawful marriage.
If you keep free of these,
you will be doing what is right. Farewell.’"

And so they were sent on their journey.
Upon their arrival in Antioch
they called the assembly together and delivered the letter.
When the people read it, they were delighted with the exhortation.

Lord God, Abba Father, today’ readings remind me of the Lord Jesus’ teaching about The Kingdom of Heaven

The kingdom of heaven can be likened to a farmer’s wheat field, planted with good seed. One night, while the farmer slept, his enemy came and sowed darnel weeds among the wheat. When the first blades of wheat finally pushed up through the earth, weeds appeared alongside. Seeing this, the servants rushed to the farmer, and with distressed voices wept: “Sir, did not we sow good seed in your field? Why then are there so many darnel weeds?”

The farmer answered: “An enemy has done this.”

“Shall we try to remove them?” the servants asked.

“No,” the farmer replied. “If you pull up the weeds, you will uproot the wheat as well. Let them both grow together until the harvest time; and at the time of the harvest I will instruct the reapers as follows: ‘Gather first the weeds, and bind them into bundles for burning. Then gather the wheat into my storehouse.’”

Here is the lesson: he that sowed the good seed is the Son of Man. The field is the world. The good seed represents the children of the kingdom, while the remaining seeds represent those deceived by the wicked one. The enemy that planted the weeds is the evil one. The harvest is the end of the world, and the reapers are the angels. Just as the darnel weeds were gathered and burned in the fire, so will it be at the end of this age. The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will gather everything that has caused humankind to stumble and those who live lawlessly outside of the kingdom, and will exile them to a place of weeping and regret. Then the righteous will shine as brightly as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. If you have ears to hear, then hear these words.

O Lord God continue to guide me through the fields I walk under the sun, help to always seek, choose and find the righteous path; narrow as it maybe I know through this door I shine bright as an example of Your Kingdom under the sun so that others may see what the fail to see. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

As regards to the first, the principle of all sins can be called lust— lust in its most general sense, namely, the unbridled desire for one’s own pleasure. The word of God continued to spread and grow.

After Barnabas and Saul completed their relief mission,
they returned to Jerusalem,
taking with them John, who is called Mark.

Now there were in the Church at Antioch prophets and teachers:
Barnabas, Symeon who was called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene,
Manaen who was a close friend of Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.
While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said,
"Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul
for the work to which I have called them."
Then, completing their fasting and prayer,
they laid hands on them and sent them off.

So they, sent forth by the Holy Spirit,
went down to Seleucia
and from there sailed to Cyprus.
When they arrived in Salamis,
they proclaimed the word of God in the Jewish synagogues.

Acts 1:15-17, 20-26
Peter stood up in the midst of the brothers and sisters
(there was a group of about one hundred and twenty persons
in the one place).
He said, "My brothers and sisters,
the Scripture had to be fulfilled
which the Holy Spirit spoke beforehand
through the mouth of David, concerning Judas,
who was the guide for those who arrested Jesus.
Judas was numbered among us
and was allotted a share in this ministry.
For it is written in the Book of Psalms:

Let his encampment become desolate,
and may no one dwell in it.
and:
May another take his office.

Therefore, it is necessary that one of the men
who accompanied us the whole time
the Lord Jesus came and went among us,
beginning from the baptism of John

So they proposed two, Joseph called Barsabbas,
who was also known as Justus, and Matthias.
Then they prayed,
"You, Lord, who know the hearts of all,
show which one of these two you have chosen
to take the place in this apostolic ministry
from which Judas turned away to go to his own place."
Then they gave lots to them, and the lot fell upon Matthias,
and he was counted with the Eleven Apostles.

Lord God, Abba Father, I believe, help my unbelief. Doubt is as much part of my walk as is my weak human nature; and like the desires that weaken me I must seek not to battle my fears, unbelief and doubt alone, isolated and in darkness, but at the foot of the Cross connect to Jesus in and with Him in the full light of those I wish to be an example for so that His work would become know to them through me. In the name of  Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

From Paphos, Paul and his companions
set sail and arrived at Perga in Pamphylia.
But John left them and returned to Jerusalem.
They continued on from Perga and reached Antioch in Pisidia.
On the sabbath they entered into the synagogue and took their seats.
After the reading of the law and the prophets,
the synagogue officials sent word to them,
"My brothers, if one of you has a word of exhortation
for the people, please speak."

So Paul got up, motioned with his hand, and said,
"Fellow children of Israel and you others who are God-fearing, listen.
The God of this people Israel chose our ancestors
and exalted the people during their sojourn in the land of Egypt.
With uplifted arm he led them out,
and for about forty years he put up with them in the desert.
When he had destroyed seven nations in the land of Canaan,
he gave them their land as an inheritance
at the end of about four hundred and fifty years.
After these things he provided judges up to Samuel the prophet.
Then they asked for a king.
God gave them Saul, son of Kish,
a man from the tribe of Benjamin, for forty years.
Then he removed him and raised up David as their king;
of him he testified,
I have found David, son of Jesse, a man after my own heart;
he will carry out my every wish.
From this man’s descendants God, according to his promise,
has brought to Israel a savior, Jesus.
John heralded his coming by proclaiming a baptism of repentance
to all the people of Israel;
and as John was completing his course, he would say,
‘What do you suppose that I am? I am not he.
Behold, one is coming after me;

I am not worthy to unfasten the sandals of his feet.’"

Jn 13:16-20
When Jesus had washed the disciples’ feet, he said to them:
"Amen, amen, I say to you, no slave is greater than his master
nor any messenger greater than the one who sent him.
If you understand this, blessed are you if you do it.
I am not speaking of all of you.
I know those whom I have chosen.
But so that the Scripture might be fulfilled,
The one who ate my food has raised his heel against me.
From now on I am telling you before it happens,
so that when it happens you may believe that I AM.
Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever receives the one I send
receives me, and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me."
