Examine Yourself

In today’s reading, we learn that we will be forgiven by God to the extent that we forgive others. In a similar way, God will judge us in the same measure that we judge others. In order to judge less, grow in humility, and love people better, we should examine our consciences daily.

My prayer…

Dear God, my Abba Father, Lord Jesus my Savior, Holy Spirit within me. Thank You for each blessing and for each of mine.
Today’s Gospel is truthful and direct. You will judge us in the same measure that we judge others. In order to judge less, we need to grow in humility, and love people better. For the more we love the less we will judge. Likewise, the more we judge, this we can love those we judge.
So I pray for loving forgiving heart that judges not, but in all things looks inward as to how am I walking as one with You. Hear my prayer Lord, for me and mine.
Not my will, but Yours Lord God.
Jesus, Mary, I love You, save souls.
In Jesus name I pray.
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Peace during Trials

In today’s reading we observe that even through trials, the closer we are to Jesus, the more peace we will have. As the Apostles are frightened during the storm, we see Jesus and John the Beloved Disciple, who stays near him, remaining calm. The closer we stay to Jesus, the more peace we will have when enduring all of life’s troubles.

Reading I 2 Corinthians 12:1-10

Brothers and sisters:
I must boast; not that it is profitable,
but I will go on to visions and revelations of the Lord.
I know a man in Christ who, fourteen years ago
(whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows),
was caught up to the third heaven.
And I know that this man
(whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows)
was caught up into Paradise and heard ineffable things,
which no one may utter.
About this man I will boast,
but about myself I will not boast, except about my weaknesses.
Although if I should wish to boast, I would not be foolish,
for I would be telling the truth.
But I refrain, so that no one may think more of me
than what he sees in me or hears from me
because of the abundance of the revelations.

It is hard to be generous with others when our future is uncertain. But although the future is uncertain to us, it is very certain to the Father. He will make sure you have what you need. If you are generous with others, he will be very generous with you.

Reading I 2 Corinthians 11:18, 21-30

Brothers and sisters:
Since many boast according to the flesh, I too will boast.
To my shame I say that we were too weak!
But what anyone dares to boast of
(I am speaking in foolishness)
I also dare.
Are they Hebrews? So am I.
Are they children of Israel? So am I.
Are they descendants of Abraham? So am I.
Are they ministers of Christ?
(I am talking like an insane person).
I am still more, with far greater labors,
far more imprisonments, far worse beatings,
and numerous brushes with death.
Five times at the hands of the Jews
I received forty lashes minus one.
Three times I was beaten with rods, once I was stoned,
three times I was shipwrecked,
I passed a night and a day on the deep;
on frequent journeys, in dangers from rivers,
dangers from robbers, dangers from my own race,
dangers from Gentiles, dangers in the city,
dangers in the wilderness, dangers at sea,
dangers among false brothers;
in toil and hardship, through many sleepless nights,

And apart from these things, there is the daily pressure upon me
of my anxiety for all the churches.
Who is weak, and I am not weak?

Where Is Your Heart?

Today’s gospel reading provides incredibly insightful spiritual wisdom. It says, "For where your treasure is, there also will your heart be" (Mt 6:21). Run to the Father, asking him to reveal to you what you treasure that is of this world and beg for the grace to seek first the Kingdom of God.

My prayer…

Dear God, my Abba Father, Lord Jesus my Savior, Holy Spirit within me. Thank You for showing me who I am and what I treasure most. For teaching how to have and keep it. It is all about You Jesus. In, through and because of You I am blessed beyond measure. And while I may have my moments of doubt and self pity. You always lead me back to my roots in You and mine. So while I pray for Your will to be the direction of my walk. I also pray that You continue to bless me by growing closer to You in wisdom and understanding, and that You continue to bless and protect me and mine, and theirs. Expanding our territory for Your purpose, while keeping us from evil. And causing any pain. Hear my prayer Lord. Holy Mother pray for each of mine and theirs.
Not our will, but Yours Lord God.

For hearing our prayers and help us to understand, accept and seek Your will Lord, not ours. Your teachings guide us through both trials and joys. Showing us the importance of time alone with You.
So today I pray for this… that each of us would come to put time with You first, and that through almsgiving, prayer and fasting (sacrifice) we each would grow closer to You.

Loving Witnesses

Christ teaches us to love our enemies, distinguishing Christians from other religions. Rather than hating our enemies, we are called to witness to Christ by imitating God’s love. Today, let your love act as your witness, testifying to the God who is love.

Today’s Action Item: Love your enemies to evangelize them.

My prayer…

Dear God, my Abba Father, Lord Jesus my Savior, Holy Spirit within me. Thank You for walking with me and mine. For always teaching us in Your ways. Not always easy, we must learn to obey the tough along with the easy teachings. For it is easy the love those who love You, even when they hurt, lie or criticize you. But when it comes those who hate you and everything you’ve come to believe and cherish… well loving them is the furthest thing from what’s on our mind and in our heart.
So what must we do. Praise the Lord, think of all the reasons you love Him and why. Think of all He has done for you and yours. Think what it would be like not to have, know and love Him.
And then think of those poor souls that act like they do because they don’t.
So pray for the love that cures, unites and evangelized. And learn to practice that love every chance You get. God knows today, more than any time in my life. We have more than enough opportunities to do so. So do it!
Not my will, but Yours Lord God.
Jesus, Mary, I love You, save souls.
In Jesus name I pray.
