My Daily Prayers and Readings for 11/08/2011

Abba Father how I want to say “But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD”, but can’t help but wonder how my days lost come back to haunt me and mine. So I keep my eyes on my feet step by step, not looking to far ahead and come to You in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit and pray that You bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. I ask that You create in us a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within us, for my one walk in and with Jesus each day. Make me a channel of Your peace, standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Abba Father in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I pray that You create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus today. Make me a channel of Your peace, standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 11/06/2011

Abba Father in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit, I ask that You teach me to pray. Prayers that will make things happen. For ‘prayer is overwhelmingly about making things happen. It’s about getting things done.’ Help me get past the fact that You are omniscient and what is the point of telling You things He already knows. And if You are sovereign, and if You have plans and Your plans are good, what’s the point of suggesting what I think You should do. Isn’t enough to simply pray “Your will be done, Lord” and get it over with. Well this week’s ‘Today in the Word’ have touched and awakened me to the fact that prayer is making this happen! So I pray that You create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus today. A walk filled with prayer, conscious prayer without ceasing that releases Your will and fulfills Your purpose for me and mine! Always standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 11/05/2011

Abba Father without You this Country is lost and can only continue to go downward. Every day I hear or see another example of how those governing us are only interested in their own immediate success and or survival under the Sun. Their greed and corruption dominate and to hide their ways from You, as if they could, they are allowing the removal of any and all public signs of worship and praise to the Son. So today in the name of Christ Jesus Your Son and our Savior, who lives within me through the Holy Spirit, I pray that help awaken us all to the need to act as living sacrifices by example and protect our children’s children right to worship and praise You. A life where the freedom to worship and the right to praise You as they choose is just as important as the freedom and right to choose a career and pursue a life style equal to the fruits of their effort. For I am convince that just as You gave us the freedom of choice, by which we all are fallen by nature under the Sun, slaves to our own disobedience and desires of the flesh. You also planted in our hearts the need to know, love, worship and praise You. A need which must be nurtured, nourished by worship and praise, rooted in obedience and prayer. Create in us a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within us, for one walk in and with Jesus the Son under the Sun. Make us a channel of Your peace, standing having girded ourselves waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod our feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which we will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You bless us in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
