Abba, Father, Lord God, I watch and listen to Pope Benedict and recall the last years of Pope John Paul and I add this privilege to the blessings You have bestowed upon me. Not that as human beings they can be perfect and as such no church can be all that everyone wants given we are all different yet afflicted with the same nature, but for the awareness and experience of seeing Your hand at work within them as Your chosen Bishop for Your universal church. I think back to the sermons and few interactions with Pastor McCord and his words of knowledge and wisdom delivered so humbly and say, how blessed I feel that You would put men like this in my path, to light the way for me to come home to You through Jesus in the Spirit. O that You would use me as a light for others, not for the great reward that I would feel for having served You well, but for Your honor and glory, and for the knowledge that I was truly able to give the gift that I was given; the knowledge through faith, the courage with hope, and the humility in unconditional love which as lead me to where I am this moment, and every morning, here with You sharing myself, opening myself, dying to myself. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, I ask and pray that as You, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are one, You will create in me oneness of faith, hope and love so that I too may walk in oneness with Your Spirit given to me through Jesus who You sent for me, us and the whole world. So for the sake of His sorrowful passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world, as Your will be done on this earth as it is in heaven. Amen.

Focused on being joyful for all the good that with Jesus in my heart I experience despite the trials and tribulations; whether of my own accord or Your will. While I do not agree with or claim to understand all of what St. Vincent says today; I know that the Words of Jesus are truth and life. And as long as I keep my heart open and seek Your presence by practicing walking in the light, I will overcome and find the good. For You are good Lord God, and only good comes from above. So it is with excitement for the visibility that Word that Pope Benedicts visit brings to America and the eyes and hears of the world that I pray the words of the Psalmist today 'that Thy way may be known upon earth, and Thy saving power among all nations'. So here I am as with every day, starting my day with and in You; asking and praying that You would help me stay in Your presence throughout this day and that You would hear my thoughts and prayers for those I love, know and may try to harm or take advantage of me, And in all things teaching me acceptance through faith, giving me hope through knowledge that Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, and forgiveness through love. For if You would do all this for me a sinner by nature and forgive me, how can I keep that gift for me when by giving it away I may be blessed to awaken someone to what You have given me.
