Words written in red; Words of Jesus
Then said Jesus to the crowds and to his disciples,  "The scribes and the Pharisees sit on Moses’ seat;  so practice and observe whatever they tell you, but not what they do; for they preach, but do not practice.  They bind heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with their finger. They do all their deeds to be seen by men; for they make their phylacteries broad and their fringes long,  and they love the place of honor at feasts and the best seats in the synagogues,  and salutations in the market places, and being called rabbi by men.  But you are not to be called rabbi, for you have one teacher, and you are all brethren.  And call no man your father on earth, for you have one Father, who is in heaven. Neither be called masters, for you have one master, the Christ.  He who is greatest among you shall be your servant;  whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.
Matthew 23: 1 – 12

Whatever, wherever I am, I can never be thrown away. If I am in sickness, my sickness may serve Him; if I am in sorrow, my sorrow may serve Him. He does nothing in vain; He may prolong my life, He may shorten it; He knows what He is about. He may take away my friends, He may throw me among strangers, He may make me feel desolate, make my spirits sink, hide the future from me. Still, He knows what He is about!  He loves to see the trust makes us persist in knocking unceasingly.
— John Henry Cardinal Newman

Abba, Father, Lord God, thankful and seeking humility I come to You today singing the words of the Psalmist:
Surely his salvation is at hand for those who fear him, that glory may dwell in our land.
Steadfast love and faithfulness will meet; righteousness and peace will kiss each other.
Faithfulness will spring up from the ground, and righteousness will look down from the sky. Righteousness will go before him, and make his footsteps a way.
And praying the words Jesus taught me to pray;
‘Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name, They kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day, our daily bread, and forgive us as we forgive others. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil, for Thy is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever,’
In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

When I Lay My Isaac Down: Unshakable Faith in Unthinkable Circumstances (Unabridged) By: Carol Kent Sometimes we make sacrifices to help us get ahead, to allow us more time with family, or because we believe in the cause. And then there are sacrifices in which we have no say, "Isaac experiences" as in Genesis 22, thrust upon us without warning or survival instructions. This audio book outlines eight transformational power principles that Gene and Carol Kent learned in the process of facing the news that forever changed their lives.

Their understanding of influence is like mine for guitars; it’s woven into the fabric of their being." – (Bob Taylor, President, Taylor Guitars). With influence, you can achieve success at home, work, and in every other area of life.

Words written in red; Words of Jesus
And Jesus replied, "But why were you looking for me? Did you not know that I must be in my Father’s house?"
Luke 21:49

Man works thinking only of today. You must see things with the eyes of eternity without that mad urge for material things. From this will come peace and calmness and you will give life and vigor to ever so many without losing your own vitality.
— St. Josemaria Escriva

Abba, Father, Lord God, thankful, always seeking humility balanced at the foot of the Cross with the courage needed to walk by faith with Jesus as my Lord, Savior, Teacher and Example of how to walk under the sun. It does not get any easier to accept that I will always fall short, but landing at the feet of Jesus on the Cross, I know I can reach up and He will take my hand and lift me up, and in and through prayer and conscious connected thought with Him, He will carry me. For to me has been given the blessing to feel the power of Jesus, in Word, in Spirit, and though I stumble, and though I doubt, I come back to the foot of the Cross to climb up and above the deafening, blinding and fearfulness under the sun. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen,

4  For the yoke of his burden, and the staff for his shoulder, the rod of his oppressor, thou hast broken as on the day of Mid’ian.
6  For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government will be upon his shoulder, and his name will be called "Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."
Psalm 113:1-8
Luke 1:26-38
38  And Mary said, "Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word." And the angel departed from her.
