My Daily Prayers and Readings for 02/22/2012

There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

Abba Father in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I pray that You create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus today. Make me a channel of Your peace, standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 02/21/2012

The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

Abba Father ‘I come, desiring time with You. I am humbled and grateful that You invite me into Your presence. As I quiet myself before You now, I worship You. I seek Your face. As I spend time in Your presence, tune my ears to hear You speak. Shape my heart and my thoughts. Give me the wisdom I need for what is in front of me. Abba Father ‘I confess that at times I try to lead in my own strength. Jesus’ life reminds me that I need to guard my relationship with You, both in times of success and times of stress. Meet with me today, I pray, and align me with Your purposes.’ In the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I pray that You create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus today. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.

Abba Father I hold to this truth, that ‘if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us’ and as a result visible in us. So next to practicing Your presence, I practice loving and forgiving. Seeking never to judge, unless I be judged first. It is with this mindset I start each day asking in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I pray that You create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus. Make me a channel of Your peace, an example of Your unconditional love. Standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Abba Father knowing I will not know with a doubt until I am tested, feel my fears have changed from those things under the sun, to those things of the Son. Specifically becoming a worthy disciple. The first step I know is to begin each day by asking in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I pray that You create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus. Make me a channel of Your peace, a worthy disciple standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

Abba Father when my mornings are limited, filled and busy I know nothing can separate me from You but me. If I practice Your presence, I will feel it, if I talk to You, You will always answer and guide me. No matter what I am facing or burdened with, You and You alone will lift me up and above. Placing me on solid ground, rooted in Your words and truths. That is why I always ask in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I pray that You create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus. Abba Father on the days I am unable to start by writing You, I hold tight to Your teachings; none of which I hold closer and consider a greater universal truth than – we should love one another! That’s why if I can’t write I pray in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit that You create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus.
