One Walk

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 02/15/2012

This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.

Abba Father today I want to exchange my self-confidence for God-confidence. You are the One who sustains me and brings light to my life. With You, I can overcome any challenge facing me. Thank You for the opportunity to live courageously and confidently, as Jesus did, in whose name I pray, through the Holy Spirit that You create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus. Make me a channel of Your peace, standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Abba Father in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I pray that You create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus today. Make me a channel of Your peace, standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. My Daily Prayers and Readings for 02/12/2012

Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Abba Father grant me the wisdom to reflect the love I have for Jesus in every moment no matter how I feel threatened or how I am approached. In the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I pray that You create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me, moment by moment, so my desire for my one walk in and with Jesus is what is seen. Make me a channel of Your peace, an example of Your work. Always standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And always asking that You bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.

Abba Father I’m not finding it easy to stay humble and react gently and with kindness in the now of the moment when I feel challenged and confronted face to face with what I see and feel is inconsiderate and self centered actions. So in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I pray that You create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus. Help me to see and feel the needs of even the most inconsiderate and selfish, in every moment, no matter what. Make me a channel of Your peace, a reflection of Your presence within me. Standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Abba Father help us rely on Your great love for us even when we feel weighed down by disappointments. Comfort and strengthen us in our need. In the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I pray that You create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus today.
