One Walk

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 03/30/2012

He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem. Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted.

Abba Father ‘I am a sinner in need of You. I can’t live right or hope for eternal life on my own. Please forgive my sins. I believe that Jesus Christ is Your only Son. You sent Him to die in my place and set me free from sin.’ In His name I pray each morning that You would through Jesus create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Him. Make me a channel of Your peace, standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 03/28/2012

For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all people. This has now been witnessed to at the proper time.

Abba Father loving others in the moment as You love us isn’t easy but it is the ultimate regifting and requires a clean heart and right spirit. So in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I pray that You create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus today. Make me a channel of Your peace, standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 03/27/2012

Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun.

Abba Father ‘my creator and redeemer, I long to know Your transforming power and the fulfillment of Your promises. Let Your words, “Trust, take delight, commit!” ring in my mind as I live this day’ walking as one with Jesus. Create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me. Make me a channel of Your peace, standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Abba Father through Jesus You show me it will never be easy, but I cannot deny the call I hear that has awakened me. I cannot change what I am and what You meant me to be. Therefore each week and each day I must in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I pray that You create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus. Make me a channel of Your peace, a light on Your hill, standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. My Daily Prayers and Readings for 03/25/2012

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

Abba Father another week comes to an end this one more than I can remember filled with questions about how I can walk as one under the sun among so many who don’t believe, follow or seek the Son. I stumble and fall – confess and through faith get up and get started again, not counting times or days, but only seeking and praying that You create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me. Asking that You make me a channel of Your peace, an example of Your living presence in each of us. I rise to stand having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 03/24/2012

In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.

Abba Father let me find my place of safety and rest in You. When rest is hard to come by and sleep is elusive, let Your Spirit turn my thoughts to You. Flood my mind with Your peace and an awareness of Your presence. Let me rest in You and allow the sleep You give to rejuvenate me so that I can awake to serve with renewed energy, a clear mind, and a willing spirit. In the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I pray that You create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus today. Make me a channel of Your peace, standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.
