One Walk

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 06/27/2012

“For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.”

Abba Father today it feels it is so easy to lose oneself, and in doing so sight of why, how, what and when. But at the same time through Your word I feel nothing as changed through the centuries. You are the answer to why, how, what and when. That is why in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I pray that You create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me, for it is from there that I must take my first step each day by making my first priority my one walk in and with Jesus. From there I know how I must walk as a channel of Your peace in unconditional love and with unconditional forgiveness. And what I must do, standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Knowing You will show me when to do it, not as I may think or want, but as You lead. Always asking that You bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Abba Father of the many things I contemplate as I try to put into practice what Your truths reveal to me; instant forgiveness by trying to put myself in the others place is one of them. While many will say the change is me is due to age, I know it is aging with You in my heart and mind through practicing Your presence. It is due to instant conviction of my thoughts, words, and actions by the Holy Spirit within me. It is in knowing I am closer to You when I walk with a clean heart likened to Jesus’ and the right spirit of putting others first and dying to myself. So in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I pray that You create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus. Make me a channel of Your peace, love and forgiveness. Standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Who can hide in secret places so that I cannot see them?” declares the LORD. “Do not I fill heaven and earth?” declares the LORD.

Abba Father ‘when we see a failure, show us that You are in charge of our careers and business. Show us that as we look to You in our work life roles, that our success and failure is not final, but only a part of our walk with you, and that all things will work together to fulfill your purpose.’ In the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I pray that You create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus today. My Daily Prayers and Readings for 06/23/2012

but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Abba Father oh how I hope and look to You Lord God throughout the day. And oh how I pray that today I will soar on wings like an eagle; I will run the race and not grow weary, I will walk through all the good and bad that this day brings and not be faint.  This is why I start today asking in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit that You create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus today. Make me a channel of Your peace and love, standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. My Daily Prayers and Readings for 06/22/2012

Such confidence we have through Christ toward God. Not that we are adequate in ourselves to consider anything as coming from ourselves, but our adequacy is from God, who also made us adequate as servants of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

Abba Father help me to look beyond my own inadequacy to the sufficiency of Christ. In the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I pray that You create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus today. Make me a channel of Your peace and love, standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

Abba Father I do seek to dwell in Your shelter, and I have felt the rest of being in Your presence and I am blessed for it. For eve through my doubt I know I believe because of this. I can’t explain it, but I know I feel it. I only hope that others will see You in me, so I will not have too. To this end I again ask in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I pray that You create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus today. Make me a channel of Your peace and love, standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.
