“Be still, and know that I am God…”

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 06/11/2012

He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”

Abba Father in stillness I find oneness with You and bring balance to the mind, body and soul. This helps me overcome my self so that as I walk everyone sees more of You and less of me. You see I know You are at work within me at all time, for nothing convicts me more than when I step out or speak out rather than letting You carry me out or let Your words speak through me. This is why each day I must start asking that in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I pray that You create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus today. Make me a channel of Your peace, standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 06/10/2012

Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

Abba Father to talk about forgiveness is one thing, and while it is never easy looking back and forgiving others and yourself; walking in forgiveness is completely another thing. Practicing forgiveness in real time in the now of the moment is so challenging. It can only happen through oneness with You in Christ Jesus through consciousness of the Holy Spirit. The only chance i have is to start each day praying that You create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus today. Make me a channel of Your peace and love, a example of Your forgiveness. Always standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. [The Narrow and Wide Gates] “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

Abba Father the narrow gate is what I seek! Staying the course is not easy, and the temptation to fall back into my old ways is always there, closer and so easy. And I do stumble and fall, and the challenge is to stay down, to give up. But thanks to You and Your blessings I continue to feel my way. Knowing that only with eyes of faith and a heart likened to Christ Jesus can I find it. So in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I pray that You create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus today. Make me a channel of Your peace and love, an example for mine to follow, standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.
