One Walk

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 05/29/2012

But from everlasting to everlasting the LORD’s love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children— with those who keep his covenant and remember to obey his precepts.

Abba Father Mighty One, Lord, God my Savior, You have done great things in my life and in the lives of Your people throughout time. Thank You for revealing Yourself to us. I praise You today with a grateful heart, especially for sending Jesus, in whose name I pray, that You create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus today. Make me a channel of Your peace, standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 05/28/2012

Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.

Abba Father looking back at this day I feel You were preparing me for what You knew was ahead. Blessing me and mine with each other and with the opportunity to be together and most of all want to be together. I will never understand why You blessed me so, but a grateful head I will always have. And it is from this attitude of gratitude that I start each day asking in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I pray that You create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus today. Make me a channel of Your peace, standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. My Daily Prayers and Readings for 05/27/2012

However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.

Abba Father Like Paul my aim is to finish the race according to Your will and purpose for me and to leave mine knowing they have You in their life. It is not an easy race to run, and more than I can ever realize in the moment I am my biggest burden. This is why I know there must be more of You and less of me. So in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I pray that You create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus today. Make me a channel of Your peace, standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

Abba Father looking back at this day from today’s perspective, I want to think that You rescued me from a place I didn’t belong. A place I wasn’t ready for, lacking enough wisdom and discipline. A place where I would not grow any closer to You, but worse drift apart from You and mine. Help me to not rationalize, but through awareness of Your blessings never let me let anything come between You and me, and me and mine. In the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I pray that You create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus today. Make me a channel of Your peace, standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.
