My Daily Prayers and Readings for 07/10/2012

being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

Abba Father I am confident that You will do just that, complete the good work You began in me. And in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I pray that You create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus. Make me a channel of Your peace and love, let Your work in me be seen. As I stand having girded my waist with Your truth, and put on Your breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of Jesus’ gospel of peace; and above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 07/03/2012

Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin condemns any people.

Abba Father convicted by Your grace, forgiven by Your mercy, we must all ask ourselves where are we headed, how are we getting there. Are we quietly and passively giving in to the ways under the sun, lost in our desires. Not even aware of the cost. In politeness we hesitate to say His name. We must wake up, for soon politeness will give way to fear. Jesus is the way, and only those with something to fear should fear His name. Not us! For we are His. The seed to know Him, worship Him and love Him is planted in our hearts. We can hide it, but we cannot remove it. So now is the time to drop to our knees in prayer and in His name pray that You create in us a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within us, for one walk in and with Jesus. Confident in His glory, assured by His Words. Channels of His peace and love, standing having girded our waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod our feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which we will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You bless us in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever!

Abba Father to You be the glory in Jesus Christ. For through Him ‘we are called to become something other than what we would have been if the call did not exist. We are not permitted to remain passive, but are called upon, by these words, to illuminate a world of spiritual and social darkness.’ And in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within us through the Holy Spirit, we must continually pray that You create in us a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within us, for one walk in and with Jesus. Making us channels of Your peace and love, examples of Your grace and mercy. Standing having girded our waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod our feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which we will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You bless us in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 07/02/2012

The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? “I the LORD search the heart and examine the mind, to reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve.”

Abba Father oh how we deceive ourselves. The desires under the sun corrupt us so, little by little without much notice, until if we are fortunate You call out to us or get our attention through what ever means You see fit. Then if we are blessed and hear the call we wonder how we could have drifted so far off and away from You. We must overcome ourselves through death to the ways under the sun. We must in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit pray that You create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within, for one walk in and with Jesus. For He is the only way we can become channels of Your peace and love, standing having girded our waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod our feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. From here I ask that You bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. This is from where we must step out. Help us walk in confidence, conscious in the moment and through Jesus in the moment preparing for the next moment. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

I will bow down toward your holy temple and will praise your name for your unfailing love and your faithfulness, for you have so exalted your solemn decree that it surpasses your fame.

Abba Father with a humble and grateful heart that in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I pray that You create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus today. Make me a channel of Your peace and love, standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you.

Abba Father I count it a blessing that by Your grace if we open our hearts we are humbled through faith in the unseen. For what ever one might hope to accomplish under the sun, it fails in comparison to what one finds in and through Your Son. That is why in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I pray that You create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus. Make me a channel of Your peace and love, so that I will be ready to be used by You. Always standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. As for God, his way is perfect: The LORD’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him.

Abba Father Your ways are perfect and Your word true. You are my refuge in times of trouble and the reason for the joy in my life. You have blessed me beyond comprehension, and humbled me into full contemplation of Your presence. It is with a grateful and humble heart and in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit that I pray that You create in me and mine a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within us, so we will each be able to walk in and with Jesus today. Make us a channel of Your peace and love, teach us to stand having girded our waist with Your truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod our feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which we will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You bless us in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us.
