One Walk

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 08/24/2012

I love the LORD, for he heard my voice; he heard my cry for mercy. Because he turned his ear to me, I will call on him as long as I live.

Abba Father I cry out to You knowing You hear me and will awaken me to Your truth, knowing You will show me the path, knowing that You are there and I am never alone. I must start each day asking in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit that You create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus. For I cannot hold on to anything that is not of You. You are my source of source. Make me a channel of Your peace and love, help me stand having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 08/23/2012

When I said, “My foot is slipping,” your unfailing love, LORD, supported me. When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy.

Abba Father only with You in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit can I create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit, for my one walk in and with Jesus. Make me a channel of Your peace and love, standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Please bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 08/22/2012

He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?

Abba Father Your ways are not always easy to follow under the sun for they are too often the opposite of what we are taught. Your truths beyond our willingness to believe without always understanding. Only in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit can I find a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit, for my one walk in and with Jesus. For to be a channel of Your peace and love is my desire. To  stand having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one, is my goal. Always asking that You bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 08/21/2012

By day the LORD directs his love, at night his song is with me— a prayer to the God of my life.

Abba Father when I’m stressed out and cannot find the words, when restlessness wakes me in the middle of the night, I remember that Jesus’ said “This, then, is how you should pray:
“‘Our Father, which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, As it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses, As we forgive them that trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, The power, and the glory, For ever and ever.’
And then, in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I pray that You create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus today. Make me a channel of Your peace and love, standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. My Daily Prayers and Readings for 08/20/2012

I keep my eyes always on the LORD. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

Abba Father when the things under the sun get me down. When people let me down. When I feel alone, I keep my eyes and thoughts on You; and soon all I see are opportunities, and all I feel are the needs of others not mine. Loneliness fades and all I want is for You, in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit to create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus. When I am focused on You I am reminded of my desire to be a channel of Your peace and love, not my selfish desires. I get up having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And I humbly pray that You bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 08/19/2012

Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.

Abba Father all I know is what I feel and have felt. Many may question, others doubt; I know we all do from time to time. But when I hear all the intellectual thought, conspiracies and arguements against You. All I know is what I feel and have felt. And all I do is ask in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I pray that You create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, for I know because I feel that my one walk in and with Jesus is all I need. And if and when I walk as one I become a channel of Your peace and love, and then only then might others feel You in me. So again I stand having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Again I ask that You bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
