My Daily Prayers and Readings for 10/03/2012
When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, “Do you want to get well?”

Abba Father we all want to know what is planted in our hearts and mind, The meaning of life. Why are we here? The answer is You! Our fallen nature is the illness that keeps us from finding out that the seed planted in us, is the need to know, love and have a relationship with You. You planted it there when You created us, and only You can help it grow to become what You meant us to be. So in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I come to You daily, so that You would create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, the starting point for my one walk in and with Jesus each day. I ask that You will show and teach me how to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations will all people. I take Your hand each day as I stand having girded my waist with Your truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness that only You can provide, and having shod my feet with the preparation of Jesus’ gospel of peace; and above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one who seeks to keep me from doing Your will, and being what You created me to be. Always asking that You continue to bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will, and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
