A thought…

Prayer is not about feelings of love, it is about being, truly and literally, in Love, living in Him in whom we have our being. It occupies the whole of heart and might, and in an odd way, despite distractions, it can occupy the whole mind too. Everything that flits through the mind in prayer, no matter how irrelevant or irreverent it may seem, can be caught up into our love of God. Nothing is wasted. Above all we should never let our feelings in prayer deter us from persevering in prayer, for God listens to our prayer even when we don’t.

Dear Lord God, Abba Father, Jesus my Savior, thank You for all Your blessings that so often show themselves in the simplest ways and moments. Nourished by trust in You, which produces faith, hope and love. Love for You, for Your blessings and those You place in our walk. Faith in that You will use all things for Your glory. Hope for the new, the new day, the new week, the new chance. Love that is received and given unconditionally. Thank You. Thank You for today, for mine and for being able to come to You.
In Jesus name I pray. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

This morning I started my One Walk with Jesus early, at 3:30 am. What I call the ‘Jesus hour’, because I wake rested, but it’s to early to get out of bed. So I pray, listen to Christain musics and talk to Jesus. Sometimes it’s like He says ok get up I know what we can do. Other times, like today it’s like He let’s me wrestle with my thoughts as I seek His presence. Here is where He led me today…

A devotion, from Jesus Calling…

I MEET YOU in the stillness of your soul. It is there that I seek to commune with you. A person who is open to My Presence is exceedingly precious to Me. My eyes search to and fro throughout the earth, looking for one whose heart is seeking Me. I see you trying to find Me; our mutual search results in joyful fulfillment.

Stillness of soul is increasingly rare in this world addicted to noise and speed. I am pleased with your desire to create a quiet space where you and I can meet.
