Dear God, my Abba Father, Lord Jesus my Savior, thank You for today. For all Your blessings. For each of mine. For Your Word that guides and nourishes us day by day. Fir hearing my prayers for each of mine, Your Church, our Country, our President, the Pope, Cardinals and Bishops, bless and guide them. For our priests and ministers, convict and guide them. For our leaders lost in greed and corruption, humble them. For all those alone, suffering and in need of You, comfort them. For those sick, hurt and in hospitals, encourage them in their faith. In Jesus name I pray. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

It is difficult for us to believe that living in dependence on and receptivity to God is especially pleasing to him. We would much rather do something great to "earn" His love. The truth is that God’s love for us is gratuitous and unconditional. That we can do nothing to cause God to love us or to stop loving us runs afoul of some deeply held lie in our hearts. Psalms 23:1-6

The LORD is my shepherd;

Dear God, my Abba Father, Lord Jesus my Savior, only You know our hearts, even better than we do ourselves. As bad as I feel when I stumble and fail, is worse seeing one of mine do it… I think of You and want to know they are turning and talking to You as I try do. Talking it through with You, confessing, asking for forgiveness and truly repenting. But that’s really between You and them. All I can do is try the be an example through my ‘One Walk with Jesus’, by obedience and in prayer for them without ceasing. Asking that Your will be done. And that You help them understand and use it for Your glory. So praying is what I am doing. For them, for the hurt and suffering, for all those walking without You, for Your Church, our Country, and leaders, ministers and priests You have put in place. Help each in Your special way according to Your will. Giving each enough wisdom and love to get them through today.

Dear God, my Abba Father, Lord Jesus my Savior, thank You for this new day which with Your grace and mercy I will correct yesterday and show You within me, rather than me without You. Forgive me, for letting my heart harden under attack. But as You know I am weak. And the days are long, hot, full of surprises and chaos. Running on empty I fail to be able to stay connected to You, so I trip and fall. But You pick up me for today. You bless me and mine despite me. You bless me beyond measure and let me know You love me. So I fight to persevere for Your glory not mine. To show everyone who sees me that they really are seeing You in me. So I step out today.
