My prayer…

Dear God, my Abba Father, Lord Jesus my Savior, thank You for reminding me to trust in Your promise, and be patient. The routine and mundaneness of day to day, week to week life under the sun can make us inpatient. Inpatients can make us lose trust. That’s why I rest in You. For in and with You, I find rest and peace. When I with You, it’s easy to trust You. Feeling Your presence is real. It’s natural.
That’s my prayer today. That me and mine will walk in the feeling of Your presence. That our trust in You is visible to others in how we walk. And that they may be encouraged to seek Your presence also.
Jesus, Mary, I love You, save souls.
In Jesus name I pray. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

and give over to him your authority.
He shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem,

My prayer…

Dear God, my Abba Father, Lord Jesus my Savior, thank You for always guiding me and mine as needed, when needed. Your Words are truth. Today’s readings, Gospel and reflections point us to Your Church.
For the first time in this country for most living today. We face the reality of losing the freedom and right to worship You in and through Your Church. A Church which is divided, like the country and for the same reasons.
So today I pray for me and mine, for all those aware of the threat to religious freedom. I also pray for those unaware, a sleep in their busyness and frozen in fear. And especially pray for those seeking to remove this freedom and limit our rights. They do not know what they do.
Help us Jesus to kneel before You in prayer, and stand up for You against those seeking to remove You from life’s.
Prepare fur what’s to come and lead us into tomorrow whatever it brings.
Jesus, Mary, I love You, save souls.

Dear God, my Abba Father, Lord Jesus my Savior, thank You today. For continuing to teach me, and show me Your ways. To forgive me, and show me how to forgive. To love me, and show me how to love.
Hear my prayers for me and mine. For in them is where You show me what love is, and for them You show me why I need to learn to love others as I do them. Never easy, but it is Your commandment. So use me and mine. Walk with us. Teach us. Help us.

Gospel Matthew 22:1-14

Jesus again in reply spoke to the chief priests and the elders of the people in parables saying,
“The Kingdom of heaven may be likened to a king
who gave a wedding feast for his son.
He dispatched his servants to summon the invited guests to the feast,
but they refused to come.
A second time he sent other servants, saying,
‘Tell those invited: “Behold, I have prepared my banquet,
my calves and fattened cattle are killed,
and everything is ready; come to the feast.”’
Some ignored the invitation and went away,
one to his farm, another to his business.
The rest laid hold of his servants,
mistreated them, and killed them.
The king was enraged and sent his troops,
destroyed those murderers, and burned their city.
Then the king said to his servants, ‘The feast is ready,
but those who were invited were not worthy to come.
Go out, therefore, into the main roads

Reading 1 Ezekiel 34:1-11

The word of the Lord came to me:
Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel,
in these words prophesy to them to the shepherds:
Thus says the Lord GOD: Woe to the shepherds of Israel
who have been pasturing themselves!
Should not shepherds, rather, pasture sheep?
You have fed off their milk, worn their wool,
and slaughtered the fatlings,
but the sheep you have not pastured.
You did not strengthen the weak nor heal the sick
nor bind up the injured.
You did not bring back the strayed nor seek the lost,
but you lorded it over them harshly and brutally.
So they were scattered for the lack of a shepherd,
and became food for all the wild beasts.
My sheep were scattered
and wandered over all the mountains and high hills;
my sheep were scattered over the whole earth,
with no one to look after them or to search for them.
Therefore, shepherds, hear the word of the LORD:

“The Kingdom of heaven is like a landowner
who went out at dawn to hire laborers for his vineyard.
After agreeing with them for the usual daily wage,
he sent them into his vineyard.
Going out about nine o’clock,
he saw others standing idle in the marketplace,
and he said to them, ‘You too go into my vineyard,
and I will give you what is just.’
So they went off.
And he went out again around noon,
and around three o’clock, and did likewise.
Going out about five o’clock,
he found others standing around, and said to them,
‘Why do you stand here idle all day?’
They answered, ‘Because no one has hired us.’
He said to them, ‘You too go into my vineyard.’
When it was evening the owner of the vineyard said to his foreman,
‘Summon the laborers and give them their pay,
beginning with the last and ending with the first.’
When those who had started about five o’clock came,
each received the usual daily wage.
So when the first came, they thought that they would receive more,
but each of them also got the usual wage.
And on receiving it they grumbled against the landowner, saying,
‘These last ones worked only one hour,
and you have made them equal to us,
who bore the day’s burden and the heat.’
He said to one of them in reply,
‘My friend, I am not cheating you.
Did you not agree with me for the usual daily wage?
Take what is yours and go.
What if I wish to give this last one the same as you?
Or am I not free to do as I wish with my own money?
Are you envious because I am generous?’
Thus, the last will be first, and the first will be last.”

Gospel Matthew 19:23-30

Jesus said to his disciples:
“Amen, I say to you, it will be hard for one who is rich
to enter the Kingdom of heaven.
Again I say to you,
it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle
than for one who is rich to enter the Kingdom of God.”
When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and said,
“Who then can be saved?”
Jesus looked at them and said,
“For men this is impossible,
but for God all things are possible.”
Then Peter said to him in reply,
“We have given up everything and followed you.
What will there be for us?”
Jesus said to them, “Amen, I say to you
that you who have followed me, in the new age,
when the Son of Man is seated on his throne of glory,
will yourselves sit on twelve thrones,
judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
And everyone who has given up houses or brothers or sisters
or father or mother or children or lands
for the sake of my name will receive a hundred times more,
and will inherit eternal life.

Dear God, my Abba Father, Lord Jesus my Savior, thank You from Your birth You began to teach us. And continue through each day. All we must do is fight to keep You first. First thing each day, first in our prayers, first in our thanksgiving and first heart.
The world is full of temptations, and some, like me, are born to be prodigal sons. We must learn Your lessons the hard way. Unfortunately, not just hard for ourselves, but also for those we love.
But You are a good God, You forgive and use everything for our good and Your glory when we let You.
Hear my prayers for me and mine, and those You place in our paths. Use us for Your glory and the good of others.
Detached from material things, and attached to You.

Apostles (Nicene) Creed

I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.
