Reading I Baruch 1:15-22
During the Babylonian captivity, the exiles prayed:
“Justice is with the Lord, our God;
and we today are flushed with shame,
we men of Judah and citizens of Jerusalem,
that we, with our kings and rulers
and priests and prophets, and with our ancestors,
have sinned in the Lord’s sight and disobeyed him.
We have neither heeded the voice of the Lord, our God,
nor followed the precepts which the Lord set before us.
From the time the Lord led our ancestors out of the land of Egypt
until the present day,
we have been disobedient to the Lord, our God,
and only too ready to disregard his voice.
And the evils and the curse that the Lord enjoined upon Moses, his servant,

My prayer…
Dear God, my Abba Father, Lord Jesus my Savior, Holy Spirit within me.
Beautiful truth… in today’s readings. For we are all sinners and fall short of the glory of God. But created in His image He loves and forgives us if we come to Him and ask in Jesus name. I ask Him daily, in this time with Him. Praying for a humble spirit, eyes of faith and a heart likened to Jesus’s. I pray this for me and mine, and theirs. I give thanks for all He has done and will do for us. Each blessing and each of mine and each of theirs. Praying without ceasing for blessings, protection from evil and a discerning heart and year with eyes of faith.
Hear my prayers Lord.
Not my will, but Yours Lord God.
Jesus, Mary, I love You, save souls.
In Jesus name I pray.
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
