Abba, Father, Lord God, thankful and always seeking to walk humbly and heed the words of St. Paul today and ‘to give others in my conduct an example to imitate‘, especially those closest to me as they know me best, and all I do is for them, always working, believing and praying that we all will use our time together under the sun to prepare for our time together with You, Jesus and the Holy Spirit in eternity by walking in faith, with hope, by love. So my motivation is that of the Psalmist ‘Blessed is everyone who fears the LORD, who walks in his ways! They shall eat the fruit of the labor of their hands; they shall be happy, and it shall be well with You. Thus shall the man be blessed who fears the LORD.‘ In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesare’a Philip’pi, he asked his disciples, "Who do men say that the Son of man is?"  And they said, "Some say John the Baptist, others say Eli’jah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets."  He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?"  Simon Peter replied, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."  And Jesus answered him, "Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jona!  For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven.  And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the powers of death shall not prevail against it.  I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven."  Then he strictly charged the disciples to tell no one that he was the Christ.

For You are my LORD God and I pray to You, that will fulfill Your purpose for me; through Thy steadfast love, O LORD, as Abba Father who endures forever in the hearts of all that seek truth in serving Jesus and must overcome themselves by dying to themselves; do not forsake the work Thy hands have begun and complete in me that work which will lead me to be what You intended before I became corrupted under the sun. Abba, Father, Lord God, thankful, always seeking humility balanced at the foot of the Cross with the courage needed to walk by faith with Jesus as my Lord, Savior, Teacher and Example of how to walk under the sun. It does not get any easier to accept that I will always fall short, but landing at the feet of Jesus on the Cross, I know I can reach up and He will take my hand and lift me up, and in and through prayer and conscious connected thought with Him, He will carry me. Abba, Father, Lord God, thankful, humble and wonderingly seeking with the innocence of my childhood, not the corrupted and burdened mind of my years I come and ask for Your grace, mercy and blessings. Blessings not as the world under the sun seeks but spiritual blessings which You know I know are far more valuable and like the seeds that fell on good ground and soil, sprung roots to withstand the ways, tribulations, disappointments and most of all produces fruit of the Spirit to help be, comfort and understand the needs of others.
